Clean but little far from center

Really nice owners, but not speaking english. Acommodation was very clean and served its purpose. For some it might be little further from the main station but we were ok with that. I would say like 2 km max. What I did I asked at tourist center, if they can show me on the map and then it was easier. Tourist center is outside the train station. Good thing is, on the way to hotel you will find shop, where you can buy food etc. That was handy. Owners nice but we had little issue at the end which is little bit against other reviews here. We checked out, left the baggage there and went for day hike.After the whole day we returned and we were not warm welcomed as before. Not sure why. The owner asked not so politely what we want. We said our baggage, he said take it and sounded like take it and get out. We asked if we can change, because we were wet. He was still not polite and changing clothes seemed like a problem.Finally we changed but i was not happy with his attitude. Seemed like we already pay and now we are pain for them. Just my understanding of the situation. Otherwise all ok.

Friendly owners.

Owners of the property were very friendly though there is a language barrier. Spacious though be careful on the alternating stairs. Interesting concept on them! There is a kitchen as well with clean cutlery so that's handy.

Cheap and pleasant guest house

We stayed one night at Rasas. This tiny guest house (2 rooms) has really good value for money: we had a large bedroom + living room for 25 euros. Guest house was clean. Probably difficult to communicate with the (friendly) owners if you don't speak Latvian or Russian. A bit far (~1km) from town center.

very nice hosts & simple rooms that fulfill its purpose

The owners, an elderly couple, speak little to no English, but communication worked fine anyway with hand and foot. They are very helpful. :)
Our accommodation was in an annex of her house on the first floor. Our room with a double bed was adequate for the night. Most of the time you're on the go anyway. The window was to the back garden. However, the house is at the end of a road that is a dead end and is therefore very quiet - as the entire city. We had our own small simple bathroom.
The small kitchen area is shared with guests of another room. Here is essentially an electric kettle and a fridge. Unfortunately we noticed on the morning of our departure, that the food was gone, we have stored in the refrigerator. But we suspect that the other guests who trespassed on it.
The accommodation is not far from the station. On foot it takes less than 10 minutes.
Sigulda is worth the trip - there are castles, hiking trails, a bobsleigh track and the Gauja National Park, a part of this can be crossed with a cable car.

simple hotel with a pleasant owner

very simple rooms for the night. should be repaired. Very pleasant and polite owner.
It is a beautiful town of Sigulda. Many interesting objects in Sigulda.
Hotel for traveling people,who do not pose a number of requirements
