Cosy selfmade spot with good energy

Good spot alongside the beach. Everthing is selfmade and this place has a vibrant energy which contains eye for details, comfort and a cosy feeling. Rooms and beds are clean and cosy. The rooftop terras with sea view is the best choice the owner could make. You can hear the waves and watch the little boats passing by. It is an area where the locals enjoy their free time, so no massive franchise hotels (yet) with limited acces to the beach for locals and outsiders but beach how it should be. Free accessible for everybody . Quality of food and snacks is also good. Owner has a wide experience with organizing outdoor activities in the surrounding. I felt sorry we already booked our traintickets and could not stay a bit longer.

Huge recommendation

We had an unforgettable stay at Bamboo‘s House. The hostel is located right next to the beach and has an amazing roof top terrace. Bamboo was one of the friendliest hosts we had and organised a private tour to the caves for us. He also helped us with booking our train tickets and offered way more service and support than we expected. The hostel had a very chilled and bohemian atmosphere and we felt super welcome during our whole stay.

Value for Money

The property is magic! Right on the beach with beach views and a rooftop restaurant/ bar and all over wifi which is fast and effective. Toan tue owner is very helpful as well his staff. Make time to visit Dong Hoi , lovely culture and very colorful with awesome fishing scenes and make sure to stay at Bamboo’s House!

Really good hostel!

Only one years old, you can see and feel that the owner really wants to invest in his hostel. Very nice place. The cheapest option when you don't want to sleep dormed is a double bed room. It is one of the two rooms with no outside window, but we choose that because it was cheaper then the rooms with twin bed. The owner was very friendly and made breakfast at the rooftopbar, put on music, set up a late night bbq, and showed us the other rooms. There's a pool table downstairs. You can book tours at the hostel (owner was a former tourguide) but we do not have experience with it because we didn't book a travel here. We would stay here again.
He showed us all his rooms. Still very proud of the place.

Excellent Host

Bamboo's house and staff were very friendly and welcoming during this coronavirus pandemic. This was one of the few places accepting foreigners so there were many people staying there. The rooms are very affordable, have comfortable beds, cold ac and Netflix! We were staying for 2 nights but ended up staying for 4 with no problems. Breakfast was included and served freshly. We enjoyed sitting in the rooftop bar overlooking the ocean. He plays some of the best music to keep you relaxed. Beer is cheap and the pizza was excellent. We ate it 2 nights in a row. We were able to get laundry done and back to us the following morning. If you are into caves, he is very knowledgeable as he was once a guide. I fell in love with his cat "Meow" and he has a cool dog named "Dan." We wouldn't stay anywhere else!
