Somewhat Mediocre

Phoenix Hotel is definitely a case of you get what you pay for. The price reflects the quality, so if you’re looking for somewhere reasonably priced to stay in Ha Giang, it does the job. For context we stayed for 4hrs between the night bus arriving and our tour of the loop starting.
The hotel itself was fine for a short stay, but don’t expect luxury or anything particularly polished. The rooms and facilities are fairly basic, but that’s reflected in the price.
The biggest disappointment for us was the breakfast. It was honestly terrible - and not in a charming, quirky way! The entire experience felt a little like something straight out of The Grand Budapest Hotel (for those who have seen the Wes Anderson film). It strikes me as a hotel which set out with grand intentions but is no longer able to deliver.
That said, for the price we paid, it’s difficult to complain too much. If you’re travelling on a budget and mainly need somewhere to sleep before or after exploring the Ha Giang Loop, Phoenix Hotel is perfectly adequate.

The room was nice and clean.
The staff were courteous. But although breakfast star at 6.30 Am. When we come at 6.30, breakfast was not ready, and most of the food were cold.

Very bad experience

Great hotel but disappointing experience from start to finish. Spacious but super poorly soundproofed rooms, too bad!!!

We arrived early and the staff were great in supporting us. Comfortable room with great view. Nice buffet breakfast and staff were brilliant. Really can’t complain about anything and it was a great location for what we wanted to do which was to explore the ha Giang area
