Excellent food, service and staff!

Visited with family, 14 of us! Pre booked and pre ordered. Andy and his staff were absolutely great. The service and food was brilliant. Portion sizes were huge. The whole experience was fantastic and will definitely visit again the next time we are in Kingsand.

Cannot fault the Halfway House Pub. Stayed here for 4 nights..Friendly welcome shown our room by Mike. All staff friendly and helpful. Room was excellent spotless and uensuite was great.
Breakfast was very good.
Ate here twice in the evening and food was excellent. Great evening spent listening to the Sea Shanty choir.
Dog friendly..
No car park but public car park £5 for 24 hours.
Will definitely be staying again. Thanks to all staff at the Halfway House.

Disappointing

Very disappointed. Been here several times in the past six months. The prawn lingerie is magnificent, so I was so looking forward to it. What came out after over an hour's wait was a child's portion of lingerie paster, no chili and tomatoes or sauce of any kind as described in the description on the menu, and a pitiful five prawns! Usually I don't complain, but I did. The response I got was, " we have a new chef, and we have been busy tonight "!! So, although usually I love the food here, don't go in for food if it looks busy.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. The staff are all friendly and helpful. It's near to Torpoint which was ideal for us. I would highly recommend this place. Well worth a visit and very reasonable in price too.

Perfect location! Can't beat it - such a pretty place. On our check in, there was live music so couldn't even get into the pub to check in. Given the rooms are upstairs, an early night was not on the cards. Breakfast was good.
