Clean hotel in a nice location
It is a very clean and large hotel. We had landed here before Formula One, along with sister-in-law and husband. We had a family room (416) which was really particularly large. All amenities were present, but we have had problems with the air conditioning which they could not solve unfortunately. During the night the temperature rose from 21.5 to 28. That has caused reduced sleep. Beds were good, by the way, nothing to complain about.
Other amenities in the room also good. Fortunately separate toilet and not in the bathroom. Unfortunately we did not have hot water for 1 day. Because of Formula One no time to wait until it was solved, so but cold showered.
We had booked with breakfast and dinner and that was a good choice. Breakfast and dinner were good. Plenty of choice and very tasteful.
Staff spoke mostly good English and were very friendly. Especially the waiters in the restaurant were very friendly.
Also used the gym. Lots of equipment present, but also some things need replacing. Anyway, you can put your energy there.

Super Chill Holiday Near the Pulse-Pounding Excitement of F1
The Wanderer Family USA had a great 5-night visit at The Hotel Golden Palace in Göd, Hungary. The location is perfect – about 45 minutes from Budapest Airport and just 15 minutes to the Premium Parking next to Hungaroring. Add in the great rates, big rooms, majestic hotel grounds, no F1 race-day traffic, and free breakfasts and dinners, picking The Golden Palace was a no-brainer.
Staff. Always nice, professional, and English-speaking.
Chow. Not having to pay for breakfast and dinner each day was huge as F1 holidays are expensive. Granted some of the Hungarian offerings are weird, but there was almost always something yummy for picky eaters like us.
Pools. Indoor was great. Outdoor was a little chilly.
Excursions. (1) F1 Race Days – please check out our video! (2) The easiest day trip in the history of day trips – to the amazingly beautiful Vilagi Winery in Slovakia (50 minutes from Göd – and, yes, the wine is divine).
Tips. Just Book It!
Staff. Always nice, professional, and English-speaking.

A night in a Palace... it really was :)
So a bit of a gamble when I saw no reviews for this 'Palace' 25ish mins outside Budapest. Maybe that's why, because on a normal weekend you can stay in the City for a reasonable price. My son and I were lucky enough to have tickets to the Champions League Final and we needed a room. As you can imagine, the City hotels prices quadrupled overnight!! So God it was... 1 night c£300, 2 bed apartment, 4 star... what could possibly go wrong??
Well I have to say we were both pleasantly surprised. The room was HUGE, two double bedrooms, a bath you could swim in, a living space, a dining space... and spotless. Now listen, this is not a new, all mod cons hotel, the furniture is dated but solid, the shower was great, there was aircon, not the best aircon but it worked. The staff were friendly and helpful... on arrival they established we wouldn't be there for dinner so said they would plate up a meal for us on our return... amazing! This was very much appreciated when we returned from a very long (unfortunately disappointing) day. I mean it was cold, obviously, but who's complaining, I didn’t even realise it was Half Board! :-)
We didn’t have time to check out the SPA & Gym but had a peak and looked fine.
The trains were every half hour, it was a 15 min walk to the station - make sure you go to the right one, the other one is 30 mins walk as we found out ! They are double-decker and airconditioned and cost peanuts into the City. You can get a Bolt cab but due to location, they weren’t too accommodating but maybe because there were c150,000 extra punters in the City for the match ??
So if you want a cheaper option, don’t mind a short walk, are not fussed about dated furniture and like the peace of the countryside, I cant recommend it highly enough. If you want central, new, modern, not for you.

The whole place was an absolute joy.
Beautiful surroundings, the lake (which you can swim in) was stunning. Indoor and outdoor pools were lovely aswell. Check in and out was seamless. Room (we took deluxe), it was massive, was spotless and cleaned everyday.
Food was different every evening and fresh and tasty. Bar prices, very reasonable and the waitress Victoria was very helpful and had a lovely demeanour.
Just to note, hotel is about 25 minute drive from city centre, so you need a car. We picked one up from airport for good price. No problem parking in city as they have underground car parks that cost £1 per hour.

Very helpful staff, a great spa and jacuzzi, and a wide range of additional services. The area is beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. We spent an amazing week there with the whole family.
