Amazing place, people and food for a perfect Tuscan vacation and celebration

Our stay at Relais mintemaggiore was absolutely fabulous. We contacted Giulia few months ago via Airbnb in search for the perfect location for our longtime dream to marry in Tuscany. Right from the start Giulia was absolutely charming and helpful with all of our requests, she helped us find our photographer and basically everything else that we needed. The villa itself is amazing, its well-located and has a stunning view to the surroundings. The rooms are incredibly comfortable and stylish, so as the kitchen and the shared living area which have everything you need and are well equipped. When we got to the villa, we met Giulia and the rest of her staff, they are all really delightful and caring people. Giulia is also a talented chef and can make the most delicious local Italian cuisine. At our wedding day they decorated the whole place, and made it exactly like we wanted, starting from the alter through the tables and flower decorations and design. Giulia, Stefania, Ricardo and the rest made our wedding a night we would never forget that was far beyond our expectations.

Unreliable owner

I forgot my spare GPS (tomtom) when checking out.
When I found out when I got home, I immediately contacted the accommodation via mail to send it to my home address. I then got an email back that they were going to send that GPS there soon. Well we are now 1 month and a half further and have still not received anything. I have already sent several reminder emails to ask if the GPS has already been sent, but on all these emails I have not been allowed to receive any more contact. So in my view, these are very unreliable people and thieves, and they are not worth booking anything there.
Conclusion everything you forget there you have lost.

What a beautiful location! Some cleaning details, however, escaped ...

The one at the R. Montemaggiore was a good experience, from the warm welcome to the relaxing possibility of using the pool surrounded by the garden, to living the room that is equipped with the necessary comforts. About the room itself, the only thing to say is that the decor is a mix of styles that may not please the eye, it almost looks confusing, but almost everything in the end has its utility. The structure overall is very nice, charming; it fits perfectly into the local hills.
Discreet breakfast, a mix of savory proposals (cold cuts, cheeses, bread of two kinds: all ok but why not serve something that is from local producers, rather than from "bags"?), sweets (cakes, croissants), other breakfast classics (jams, yogurt, etc.). Maybe it lacks some quality to raise the bar.
A careful eye does not miss, however, that some cleaning details need to be fixed: a little dust on the windowsills, also as not too much care of the area surrounding the beautiful pool (some dirty stretches of lawn, a scissors to cut hedges abandoned around ...).
Some details that, if arranged, lead this Relais to really deserve the price that is asked (which is not exactly low).

LIKE AT HOME

We stayed in this lovely place for two nights, the rooms are clean and equipped with every comfort, the staff were friendly and helpful. We asked if there was the possibility of having an aperitif and we were satisfied, despite having noticed a difficulty on the girl's part.
The only "flaw" is breakfast: poor choice, supermarket tarts, packaged croissants, the toaster out of order, and it's a shame not to focus everything on homemade and fresh products, which would certainly be more suitable for a place like this.
Recommended for both couples and families with children, and for animal lovers: in addition to a pony and two parrots, you will find many adorable, well-behaved and silent dogs... my fondest memory will remain little Chanel, I will definitely return just to meet her again ❤️

Stunning Location

This is a stunning venue and the rooms are beautiful. The shower want the best. Breakfast was quirky and tasty. This is also a family home with kids and a family dog and there is very little segregation between business and home, which won’t suit everyone.
