Long weekend

Excellent location. Hospitality and courtesy. Clean and modern rooms (finally a hygienic tiled floor and not the ubiquitous carpet, which I hate). Finally: no cheap soaps and generic detergent bottles (shampoo/body wash) good for everything but specific branded products (Acqua di Parma).

Nice hotel right in the middle of Sanremo. Walking distance to everything, including train station. Staff were very friendly. Nice breakfast, lovely meats and cheeses.

Holiday in Sanremo

I stayed for the first time in this hotel: the structure is very well maintained. and very clean in every detail. The holders, Mr. Carlo and Paola, and all the staff proved very competent and above all very helpful with me, which unfortunately are not 100% able-bodied. I really thank all of them and I hope to return, as I said yesterday, when we said goodbye.

Structure that I know to have already been there, the strengths are always those: centrality, parking and cucina.Questa time I found less attention in the dining room, some deficit in service and portions really miserable, perhaps adequate for the over-eighty present in hotel.Nonpotente a score lower than last time, I would go back.

When direct booking becomes a disadvantage

I chose direct booking after receiving confirmation that I would be charged the same rate as seen on a portal, also considering the substantial savings on commissions that the structure benefits from in these cases. However, at check-in, the reported rate was not respected. When I asked for clarification in person, the owner would not listen and, at first, I was even offered to give up the stay without the refund of the deposit already paid. Only then did I send a written request, to which I received no reply.
It is possible that they realized the favor received, but no recognition was given.
At check-out the price was simply adjusted according to the decision of the property, without any reference to the previous situation and without a gesture of courtesy.
As for the spaces, the parking presented as a relevant service proved to be very narrow and with almost no room for manoeuvre: with a large car, such as a Defender, access and exit are extremely difficult, so much so that street parking is preferable. The bathroom in the room was also very small, blind and lacking in support surfaces.
I think it is useful to point out these aspects so that those who choose direct booking, often with the intention of favoring the structure, can find a level of attention consistent with this choice.
