Great location

A wonderful hotel great location, free carpark opposite and private parking behind. Family run hotel Staff are amazing and friendly always on hand to help. Facilities are great swimming pool and gardens are fantastic. Great breakfast, evening meal comes at an additional cost but well worth it a different menu each evening. Handrail to pool & jacuzzi for easy access if you have mobility issues. Plenty of places to visit within a 10 min walk. Will definitely return.

Very nice family hotel

We spent three days on a half-board basis... Hotel run by the Simoncini family.. Very kind and very pleasant.. Nice service, pleasant pool.. For a reasonable cost..
We recommend it to you..

Family run

This is a family run hotel and the family themselves and staff are very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was clean and our room of good size, the pool was a bonus although very cold, the spa tub was great to relax in after exploring. It’s a good distance from the train station where you can go to Florence and Pisa and the train tickets weren’t very expensive.
As much as we liked the position of the hotel and the staff were excellent, the average age of the visitors to this hotel is 70+ which of course isn’t a problem but in our 40s we stuck out like a sore thumb and felt a bit out of place. The breakfast was very average and quite boring. The bar prices were reasonable but the bar is extremely basic. There is one bar man at night that isn’t Italian, not sure what nationality he is but he was very unwelcoming, like we were a nuisance asking him for drinks, huffing and just generally miserable, we were going to just stay in one night and get a drink there, but he was so grumpy we decided to go back out, he let the other staff down.

Excellent, beyond expectations

Excellent service, clean rooms. lovely hotel, pool area etc. Staff, from maids to owners, all went the extra mile, very friendly and helpful. Food was great. Location is good - close to the station with affordable links to Pisa, Lucca, Florence and the coast at viareggio. Tettuccio, Montecatini Alto and the funicular railway are among highlights of our stay. Not enough space here to express how good this holiday was. Highly recommended as a place to stay in a family run hotel. Truly authentic.

Friendly welcoming hotel

What an amazing hotel we found to celebrate our Anniversary. From the welcoming moment we arrived the staff could not have made us feel more welcome. Nothing was too much trouble from any staff member. The room was basic but had everything you needed including a comfy bed. It would have been nice to have had tea making facility in the room but thats just the only minus I can comment on. Breakfast offers a variety of foods from cold meats, to cereals, eggs and bacon and pastries. If your booked in for dinner there is a different menu every night offering a choice of foods to please even the fussyest of pellets. There is a small pool but be warned its cold water but the jacuzzi on the side was a welcome in the evening after a busy day exploring. The hotel is about a 15min to 20min walk from the train station and a 5min walk to the funicular that goes upto an anazjng town that looks over the whole of Tuscany. You are also a 10min walk from the spa and many armttractions A great long weekend And a memorable one was had and would recommend this hotel.
