When in Forte!
We travel quite a bit, and Hotel 1908 was one of those rare places that genuinely exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like family. The owners and every member of the staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, always greeting us and offering recommendations that made our stay even better. Their hospitality is something you don’t come across very often.
The hotel itself is beautiful, impeccably spotless and our room was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. After long days in Forte dei Marmi, it was the perfect place to come back and relax.
Breakfast each morning was outstanding. There was a wonderful variety of fresh, high-quality options, and it was clear that a lot of care goes into every detail.
One of the biggest highlights is the location. You can easily walk to the best beach clubs, fantastic restaurants, boutique shopping, and the heart of Forte dei Marmi without ever needing your car. It really couldn’t be more convenient.
We were also traveling with our dog, and finding a hotel that is truly pet-friendly not just pet-tolerant made all the difference. They welcomed our dog with the same warmth they showed us, which meant a lot. Even prepared meals for her too!
Thank you to the owners and the entire team for making our vacation so memorable. It’s easy to see how much pride and passion you put into this hotel. We feel like we had found a home away from home, and we’ll absolutely be back the next time we’re in Forte dei Marmi. Highly recommended.

We're not here.
Definitely the location is very convenient, facing the sea and in the center. The real problem with this hotel is the service, especially considering that it is a 4 star and not even cheap. We asked for an extra pillow at 11.30 pm and we were denied (badly) saying that we could ask for it in the morning .. it does not seem such an absurd request! Breakfast looks like a hostel.. frozen croissants, little choice and low quality. Rooms not soundproof at all, so in the morning you wake up as soon as someone talks in the hallway (not to mention that the cleaning staff speaks to each other screaming from floor to floor). I do not wish you, as we did, to have upstairs a dog abandoned in the room for hours, left there barking. This, of course, is the rudeness of the owners, but a way could be found to protect the rest of the hotel instead of saying “we can’t help it, they’ll come back”.
Even the state of maintenance was not the best... quite the contrary. The shower water was lukewarm, the bathroom door was peeling, sanitary ware with showy yellowed limestone stains, the shower door had gaskets evidently broken...
When we checked out we were not even asked how the stay had gone, they charged us and hello, almost as if they were doing us a favor.
A service that deserves neither the 4 stars, let alone 600 euros per night. Friendliness and politeness are certainly not proportional to the price, but by spending certain amounts one hopes to find them.

Ci dispiace veramente tanto di questa recensione. Purtroppo del problema del cane il cliente ha pienamente ragione e purtroppo, nonostante non di certo creato noi, influisce negativamente su il soggiorno. Comunque il problema e' stato alle 20 di sera, durante l'ora del passo della cameriera ai Piani e dopo 10 minuti il cane ha smesso. Questo pero' ha innescato una discesa irrecuperabile della veduta della nostra bellissima struttura. Vi auguriamo un piu' felice soggiorno in altre strutture a Forte dei Marmi!

Out of this World!!
From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the charming owners and shown around! The hotel is phenomenal and spotless! The food is exquisite and the service just perfect! Our room had a beautiful sea view - it is definitely worth the extra €s! The beautiful beach just opposite is Bagno Annetta and it is superb (we also recommend eating there! What a treat!)
At the hotel you can hire bicycles which is brilliant because the town centre is easily accessible but not so easy for parking your car.
I cannot recommend this hotel enough!! Thank you Hotel 1908! We will be back! Hopefully very soon!!

A wonderful stay.
My wife and I had a wedding in Bagni Di Lucca over the weekend of May 25 and decided to extend our trip and celebrate our own May anniversary. An Italian friend recommended Forte Dei Marmi. My wife has spent a lot of time in Italy, but never got to this city. Well, it was fantastic. This hotel is centrally located. It's family run and everyone is friendly and works hard to make your experience enjoyable. We had drinks at the pool, and ate at the restaurant one evening. Breakfast was included every day and it was very reasonable. (Granted we were off season and stayed on a Sunday and a Monday, but still.) I can't recommend this hotel enough. And when they found out it was our anniversary, we returned to our room after our anniversary dinner to find Prosecco on ice. It's a short walk to downtown, a short walk to the water and a short walk to almost every good restaurant in town. Stay here if you get the chance.
