They ask you 50€ extra for a “late check-in”

We cancelled the reservation and went to a place where we were treated much better. There is no way that for a check-in made only one hour after the requested time I have to pay 50€ more. So check-in and check-out times are definitely uncomfortable. Not recommended.

Disappointing

The room aesthetically was cute and the location great.
However abbimao found the problema.Scarca cleaning of the bathroom, unbearable smell in the room. The hair dryer didn't have the back protection and I almost pulled out all my hair. The room had a questionable view of the inside of the building and little light. The bedspread had a rather large stain. For check in and check out time is uncomfortable and there is no on-site option for luggage storage.v

Don’t stay here!!!

Well it’s cold in November and you expect that room will be heated but warm will be only under the duvet with socks and pjs. Air conditioning is not working for heating, 1 small heater is not enough for 30 sq.m room and you don’t want to turn on the AC when you see huge amount of dust under the bed and on painting, TV, closets, etc. There is no hangers for outerwear and for towels in bathroom. Actually there were even no toilet paper and only 1 towel per person so we had to ask for it. After turning on shower we found out about strong cat piss odor that won’t get away. Also you can take a shower only in flip flops because of mold all over the shower floor (none cleans it even if you ask to clean it) and water must run at least 15min before it’s got at least warm and 10 min later hot. After my complaints with photos of dirt, mold, dust, host promised to bring everything that we asked for and clean the room but we got only towels, toilet paper. The only work that cleaning lady did was take out trash and washed cups with few months old sponge (I don’t want even touch it and had to boil utensils before using). Confirming photos attached.

Takes skill to have worse customer service.

When we first arrived, things went very well. Just a heads up - Google shows that the hotel is near the river, but it is definitely about 10 minutes north of the Duomo. Recommend you look up the address first.
Benedetta was nice and she showed us to the room and gave us the keys. She even offered to order a taxi if necessary. We went off to explore the city and honestly, we would not have cared too much about the hotel since we came for the art. We did not come to sit in the hotel for the trip, but here are a few things that caused us to almost lose it.
First of all, we got charged 70 euros for cleaning service. No problem - we read about that and were forewarned. PROBLEM IS that there was absolutely no cleaning done!! Our bed was made without moving any of our belongings (which made us suspicious in the first place) and the towels that we asked to have replaced steadily became filthier and filthier. They are white, and were clean when we first got there, but steadily became dirtier, as though they were being used to wipe down the apartment!! The floors were never swept or cleaned (we had a small splash of something in the middle of the floor when we came in, like some coffee got spilled or something and we thought nothing of it, but it stayed there for 5 days... could tell it would come off with some elbow grease.)
The walls were smeared with black stuff - as though someone got some charcoal and just randomly touched the walls with their hands. If that's remodeling, I must be completely out of touch with reality.
Then, three days in we had a problem with the showers - the drain would not do what it is supposed to do - the water started to back up and it would not go away! Reported the problem immediately, and nothing was done. So, we had to take Marine Showers - less than a minute of running water or it would flood. I understand being conservative with water, but that's ridiculous!
Whenever we tried to communicate, it was always very delayed. There was no way to contact Benedetta for anything without waiting at least 8 hours to a day for a response. It was somewhat inconvenient, and we tried to overlook it, but if you lock yourself out, you are SOL for the night. As we were leaving, we were told to leave the keys in the room and to close the door. I made a mistake - left one luggage case on the top of the stairs and the door to the street slammed shut behind me. There was absolutely no way to contact Benedetta for the emergency and luckily we were saved by someone else in the building. Without a receptionist or a guest desk, there are a TON of problems. (Benedetta texted us online 24 hours after that little escapade if everything is ok... good timing...)
TL;DR - Took 70 Euros for service - none provided. No communication. No clean... anything really.

Noisy and smelly

Just leaving the apartment that we’ve stayed in for four nights. The guide assured us that it was sound proofed, and in the southern half of city near the attractions. It was not. In the middle of the student area so kept awake each night by the loud bars. Til 3am last night! If you’re an early bird then the sound of the bin lorry will make sure you are awake at 7am each morning. The bathroom smelt like a sewer and we even had to buy our own toilet paper even though we had paid a daily cleaning charge for the property. The decor in the apartment was ok but totally let down by everything else. Very expensive for what we got. STAY AWAY from this one.
