Very good spot

Thanks to Daniel for his welcome. He took the time to explain to us in good French, the choices to see, the good little restaurants etc. Delicate attention, with a small glass of liquor and cold drinks at discretion, tea and coffee also. Very good address.

Avoid this Hotel

Avoid Antica Dimora De Benci unless you are 100 percent certain nothing will go wrong. I paid over $1200 for a 4-night stay through Booking.com and had to cancel 3 days before the check in due to documented medical emergency. My husband's mother was hospitalized and subsequently passed away. I understood I was outside the cancellation window (by one day) but what followed was beyond unreasonable. The hotel refused any accommodation whatsoever- no refund, no partial refund, nothing. Even worse, the room was rebooked for all 4 nights. So they collected my full payment and then made additional money reselling the same room. Keeping the entire amount under those circumstances is not just strict policy- it is a complete lack of basic fairness. They profited on my family's misfortune. Many accommodations at least attempt to meet guest halfway in situations like this. This one made it clear they had no interest in doing so. If everything goes perfectly, you may never have an issue. But if you have an emergency, expect zero flexibility and zero consideration- just a rigid policy and a very expensive lesson.

The living area offers coffee, biscuits, water, sherry and breakfast pastries. The rooms are lovely with 4 poster beds with canopies, a desk and chair, chest of drawers and modern bathroom.

We absolutely loved our stay at Antica Dimora Firenze. They made us feel so welcomed, the room was perfect, charming, and well taken care of. From the treats and water in the lobby to the local recommendations the hosts gave us, the stay was perfect. The neighborhood is in a quiet area just outside of the main part of the city. This made access to the city center and main attractions very easy.

Perfect base from which to explore Florence

This delightful small guest house is perfectly positioned and within walking distance of everything. The facilities were excellent. The cosy communal lounge had everything needed 24/7, snacks, tea, coffee, milk, water, juice, fridge, cups, mugs. Tea and coffee making facilities also in our room. The owners Daniele and Alessia were so helpful in giving us a map and recommending where to go to maximise our 3 night stay. We would definitely return.
