Ca del Ponte is worth a stop!!!

Restaurant discovered thanks to the advice of Sig.Paolo, the owner of the b & b where we stay in San Zeno di Montagna, we enjoyed great food, with huge portions, friendly staff: I absolutely recommend stopping to eat!

Ordered bigoli of the house arrived in 2 minutes overcooked and inedible!!! Cut beef drowned in lemon blood on request.tiramisù? Inedible even that!! Oil salt I had to take them myself!!! Total price 56€ without coffee! The very kind and understanding waitress.

Traditional Value for money

Very traditional in style and spotlessly clean. Little play park and some farm animals to keep the kids entertained. 10 minutes from Lake Garda so great for a base if you have a car. Breakfast is okay cheese, meat, pastries, fruit, home made jams etc. We didn’t get a chance to eat in the restaurant as it’s closed Tuesday and Wednesdays. Staff very friendly and helpful, didn’t speak English but we all got by.

Authentic Italian Country Hotel

Set on a working farm and orchard, this small hotel is almost a hidden gem. Its staff do not speak any English but we managed to communicate relatively easily. The rooms are very clean and spacious. There is a restaurant on site which at the time we stayed was doing a roaring trade, mostly to locals. We dined here very cheaply and had really good local cuisine. There is roast rabbit, roast guinea fowl and horse stew along with the more usual Italian suspects. The home made tiramisu was simply the best I have ever had. If you are passing this way and need accommodation for a night, try this hotel.
