DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!

I stayed here for work, and I was sold the most expensive room, claiming that the hotel was full when it was likely not! Despite this, I was promised a savory breakfast that unfortunately not only did not arrive complete with what was requested, but what was there had been prepared the night before and was all stuck to the plate. Not to mention the room, non-functioning plugs, dust everywhere, a broken toilet seat, a cracked sink, and a hairdryer that looked like a pipe coming out of the wall. All of this for the modest price of 90 euros! Now I understand why they charge at check-in.. DO NOT GO THERE!!!

Never again.

The Ai Gelsi hotel is a historic hotel but honestly, it doesn't even deserve 3 stars.
At the entrance of the hotel, you are welcomed by cobwebs, foliage, etc.; the reception is small, but the staff is kind.
Dirty carpet everywhere.
The lift is now a freight elevator; there is no air conditioning in the common areas, including the breakfast room.
The rooms are old, with uncomfortable mattresses and embarrassing pillows.
Old, rusty bathrooms; the shower has stains and mold.
Poor and subpar breakfast; 70 euros spent poorly.

Not 4 star place

Hotel not 4 stars, carpet in the corridors dirty and worn; room with uncovered electrical wires and sockets not working, missing a vertical mirror; bathroom: particularly low sanitary ware, cracked sink, incomplete taps, black shower hose for mold, cracked hairdryer; reception that because it has no scheduled arrivals closes at 18:00 and you have to enter through the door for the night entrance; breakfast with everything prepackaged and sweet if you want an egg or sliced meat you have to pay a supplement; vending machine for water and snacks there is a minimum bar near the reception or in the room where there is an empty fridge; lacks a safe in the room

For a short stay ...

The hotel is about 20 minutes walk from Codroipo station.
In front there is a large garden and a kiosk to sit in on fine days.
The rooms have a large balcony which is also overlooked by the other rooms.
The master bedroom is large, with 'inside: heating; a bathroom (equipped with hairdryer, a huge mirror, small shower); a closet (inside you can find replacement tablecloths and even a quilt); WI-FI.
The decor is classic and a bit worn by time.
Check-in is possible from 07:00 to 21:00.
In case you go out in the evening you can return to the hotel thanks to a code to be inserted in the door and which is delivered to the customer on arrival.
Breakfast is available from 7:00 to 9:30.
For lunch and dinner the hotel has a restaurant where you can have lunch and dinner at a set menu.
The service is fast, convenient for a quick meal.

So this is the 4th Time i stayed at this Hotel and this time i regret the stay. While the room was somewhat ok, the Hotel is not. It's dirty, and it smells. The breakfast experience was not optimal last time when i stayed, so i did not even bother. I will not stay in this Hotel again and can not recommend it.
