Sublime.
Sublime!!!!
We spent two days and three nights focused on relaxation, beauty, and comfort.
A small castle village that the two owners are carefully and lovingly renovating for this profession.
As soon as we arrived, we felt as if we had entered another dimension, that of peace and mental relaxation.
The location is excellent for visiting the surroundings. Everything is well connected and reachable in no time.
The structure deserves to be visited and experienced for a few days... doing so is giving oneself a gift.
There are many added values.
All to be experienced in order to fully understand them.
Breakfast is one of the services that truly makes a difference.
The courtesy and kindness of the owners ...
We will return soon because we have chosen this place as our refuge to recharge every now and then.
Valuable experience.

A very nice place, the owners Donato and Floriana are extremely kind and very helpful, not to mention the desserts prepared by Donato. We will definitely return.

One word: AMAZING
Good morning, we stayed in this wonderful distributed hotel for three nights. What can I say, it is stunning, located within this small village from 1372, completely surrounded by imposing walls that provide security. When you arrive at this "magical place" and meet people like Donato and Floriana (the owners) who tell you the history and lived experiences of this enchanting village, you can feel all their passion and love for this work, which is immediately evident in their greeting. What can I say about the accommodations? Simply marvelous, impeccably renovated while respecting the history of the village. Entering our room felt like stepping into a castle, with thick walls and tall, small windows that allowed us to experience emotions in complete silence. Shall we talk about the morning breakfast? It has everything and more, starting with the delicious homemade cakes, followed by fruit, yogurt, coffee, etc., not to mention the savory options: salami, cheese, and strictly local oil. In conclusion, our stay at Torre della Botonta was simply magnificent; we were welcomed not as mere guests but as old friends. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to experience something unique. Positive stay...with reservation
Many positive things but some things to revere.
Definitely positive the great location to visit many Umbrian villages! Very beautiful and charming location, the rooms / apartments are spread within the walls of the castle and silence reigns. There is also a restaurant in front of the castle useful for eating something without having to take the car.
I did not find a great cleanliness of the rooms and unfortunately, since I had read the various reviews where it was so vaunted, I expected a different reception / management of things by the host.
I write this as constructive criticism, but at breakfast we never felt comfortable; if you offer the breakfast buffet you can not stand to control what one wants to take, the amount and even impose to be served (I was filmed when I took a slice of salami) commenting even what is taken by adults / children. I understand that surely leaving "free" will happen with other guests that a person eats a whole salami but then maybe it is better to re-evaluate the "mode" of breakfast .. moreover the cakes / products offered were very good

Slightly duped!
One thing is clear, you are not staying in a romantic castle, but taking a room within some old walls. Subject to all & sundry passing your door outside dogs and all.
That said, our room was such an odd shape. With barely enough room to pass the bottom of the bed - access would have been better without the defunct AC unit. Now replaced by a fan!
But, really what I couldn't abide was the the fact that it was a room without a view! Natural light was by a high up window & frankly, it felt like a cell... Not worth the €75 they hope for!
And this positives? Very helpful staff - with some (a few words) of English, for us this wasn't an issue. B'fast was good / but again in a cell or on 'the road' (tables outside).
A plus is the Good restaurant across from the 'castle walls' were we enjoyed a good imaginative & fairly priced dinner.
If this place was wanting €50 B&B I wouldn't have an issue! But, the room is weird!
