Second time we have stayed here. Very good. And connection to Hotel Fanes excellent

Lovely place and staff at hotel Fanes (the appartments are apart of the Fanes group), where you check in. Very helpful and responsive via email both times we have organised to stay. They have been very kind to my 90 year old mother

What a gem - will return!

I have stayed in San Cassiano a number of times but never here - La Ro was chosen as my first choice was not available. Bottom line is La Ro is now my first choice after this visit.
Great location with just a few steps from "downtown" San Cassiano, good price, QUIATE (I didn't hear anyone ffrom my room for my entire stay), clean (and serviced daily ex Sunday), decent self catering facilities, wifi (free) was good and it has off street parking (albeit a touch tricky to access).
Negatives - check in is at Hotel Fanes, which wasn't clear anywhere and its sort of hard to spot the apartment as there are two apartments together with Ciasa La Ro set back behind - a sign on the door about check in at Hotel Fanes would have been nice as it seems I was not the first to have issues. Using the garage parking is a bit of a struggle but street parking is available (most seem to park in the garage the first night then on street after). Oh and wifi code was in capitals on the sheet given me but actually all small letters! However, nothing really to get upset about.
Overall a real surprise and would/will return.

Fantastic self catering place

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here for a week. It was a quaint and peaceful place. We were a couple with an adult daughter. It was reasonable priced, with a separate room for our daughter. There was even a cleaning woman who tidied up the apartment. It was close to town where we could buy our groceries and cook our meals, but when we felt like eating out, there were restaurants near by including Rosa Alpina. It was within walking distance to the chairlift which took us to Piz Sorega, and other hiking opportunities. We could walk to the bus stop which took us to La Villa, Corvara, and to Passo Falzerago. Although there was no free wifi, we could just walk a few steps to Hotel Fanes and access free wifi there. We look forward to return again in a couple of years.

Estate

Come consueto, anche quest’anno una decina di giorni li ho trascorsi a Ciasa La Ro; a due passi dal centro, pulizie ogni giorno (tranne domenica) e soprattutto bagno turco e sauna ogni giorno (tranne sabato).
Si sta bene.

Appartamento di qualità media

Siamo stati 5 giorni in questo residence. Appartamento piccolo per tre persone. Spazi risicati ma tanti ripostigli e armadi per riporre le cose. Utile la cassaforte. Spettacolare il garage, enorme e quasi sempre vuoto. C’è la sauna ma non l’abbiamo usata. Non abbiamo mai cucinato ma abbiamo riscontrato che gli utensili sono ridotti al minimo. Mancano le tazze grandi per la colazione. Manca l’ascensore quindi se avete problemi a fare le scale evitate i piani alti. A due passi dal centro e dalla chiesetta. Stanze caldissime la notte, meglio chiudere qualche termosifone. Utile la convenzione col deposito sci La Sieia, gratuito. Prezzi superiori alla media, non giustificati secondo me. Pulizia perfetta. Non lavano però le stoviglie, ma c’è la lavastoviglie.
Cambio lenzuola ogni due giorni.
Al momento di saldare non hanno accettato la American Express, dicendo che l’Amministrazione del Fames e’ separata da quella del residence. Secondo me e’ una caduta di stile. Cifre superiori ai mille Euro dovrebbero consentire alche al residence di accettare la AMEX. Una caduta di classe secondo me.
