good hotel with small problems

Central Magnat Cinema Hotel has an excellent location, just in the city center, on the main Kobylyanskoi Street. Easy access , by foot, to most of the city historical sites and attractions.
The rooms in the hotel are comfortable, recently renovated, but due to a low maintenance level have some problems and required immediate improvements.
The breakfast is very standard, but for me it was sufficient and I personally had no problem.
The staff is helpful and friendly.
I certainly would recommend that hotel for a short and / or a long stay.

The hotel does not deserve 4 stars.

the hotel is so-so. The room is clean, spacious
But there is not enough kettle in the room.
Water in bottles of unknown origin is a joke for such a hotel, and a set of mini-cosmetics is not for a 4-star hotel.
The smell in the bathroom is unpleasant, like a clogged drain.
The breakfasts are disgusting, it feels like someone has already eaten them! And this is simply terrible for such a hotel! Vegetables are not soy, the food is already stale! It would be better not to include breakfast in the price, they should pay us for such food! Don't take the omelette, it's disgusting! And one more minus - we stopped by with the hope of watching a movie - there was some kind of conference, and the movie was not shown, we were very upset!

Not worth a visit

This hotel has a great location and most of the staff were nice. The room was large. The room did have a refrigerator! After that I give any more positives about this place. The towel warmer did not work. Only about 20% of the TB channels were viewable - no sports channels I could find. The linens were past their life. The lobby was dark and often no staff to be found. The room was kind of noisy from, this is funny, the birds jumping around on the roof. Just seems like the staff has given up on this place… a few touches would greatly improve this facility.

Nothing to recommend

We booked a room for two adults plus kid aiming to request a bed (250 UAH plus) for our daughter upon arrival. But after communication with hotel we upgraded our room to another, with a sofa, after being assured that we won’t need to pay more. We came, checked in, saw there was just two sets of towels and no additional linen so we requested it. And it happened that we still HAD to pay for the LINEN! The room as they said had been booked for two and additional sleeping place was 250 UAH despite all previous arrangements.
The washrooms are small, and who’s idea it was to hang these cabinets? One can easily hit one’s head after washing his face. Toiletries packed in soft single-use packets. Sound isolation is poor, you can hear your neighbors talking in the hallway like they’re talking next to you. It seems like just one administrator was helpful, all others didn’t really care.
It’s conveniently located, it’s price isn’t high but it’s not worth 4*.

Lousy service, save your money

very disappointed. Our booking wasn't reflected in the system, so we were not expected. No free water, no tea and kettle in the room, no room service, no robes. Though we were 2 guests, the second set of towels was always hidden in the wardrobe, as if they welcome only 1 guest. Toilet freshener was broken. I had to complain twice to receptionist until we were brought robes and soap and 3 times until they gave us a new freshener. It means you are not entitled to a good service and goods by default, not until you make some noise. Breakfasts are limited in time, the menu is poor. Receptionists lack basic understanding of politeness. Room doors are lousy; no electronic key system and you hear all the sounds from the outside. A bathroom is tiny! Furniture and bed set are so cheap. The hotel doesn't worth its price. Strong pass.
