Poor service and indifferent attitude
We stayed at Meshk Airport Hotel Istanbul for one night as two families, booking two rooms for an overnight stay before our flight to London the next day. We chose the hotel based on positive reviews, expecting convenient airport accommodation. It's worth noting that despite being marketed as an airport hotel, it is actually located around 8 kilometres from the airport.
We booked a taxi with the hotel for our pick-up from the airport at an initial quote of €40, which they then increased to €50, citing our larger group size. After sending pick-up instructions and asking us to message upon landing, we did so immediately, only to wait more than an hour for the taxi to arrive at the pick-up point. The driver later explained that he had only just received the pick-up message about 10 minutes before arriving, indicating a significant delay on the hotel's part in relaying our request. When we reached the hotel, the receptionist who had organised the taxi showed no apology or acknowledgement of the inconvenience caused.
He then proceeded to assign us two family rooms in the lower basement. Whilst one room was acceptable with a window and a view, the room we were in had no window, only ventilation facing the road. When I asked if another room was available, he dismissed the request without any consideration. I then asked for the air-conditioning remote which was missing in the room, and although he provided one, he asked me to return it after use. Given the poor service we'd already experienced, this response frustrated me further. His indifferent attitude seemed dismissive and unprofessional.
The room itself was alright with decent beds, but the shower head was broken and sprayed water all over, making it difficult to use. I reported this to reception, and they said someone would come to fix it, but no one ever did.
We requested breakfast at 9:00 AM the next morning, and when we arrived around five minutes later, breakfast was served on individual uncovered plates near the reception entrance, with flies hovering over the food, raising hygiene concerns; the plates should have been covered, at minimum. There was no one around to raise this concern to.
In all, despite the low price point, I would not recommend this hotel. The combination of poor customer service, facility issues, and lack of accountability makes this an unsatisfactory choice for an airport layover, and there are several other hotels in the area available at the same price point.

Airport shuttle not ideal. Waited 14 minutes in the cold at 2:00 AM under the impression it will be there in just a few minutes. Otherwise good hotel.

When we arrived, they sent us to another place for the reason that there's no room for us. The place was horrible, everything is destroyed and dirty. We were hoping to get rest before our next long flight but this hotel just ruined all our plans and made out trip very exhausting. That was the worst experience ever.

Alternative valid for day use in IST airport area
I was in Istanbul for a very long connection, about 10 hs.
I wanted to book the airport hotel, but I was asked for an absolutely disproportionate and absurd rate, so looking for options I said with this hotel that is about 25 minutes from IST airport.
The place is very simple, but neat and fulfills the function of rest and express shower.The room was equipped with kettle, instant coffee, tea and bottles of mineral water complimentary.
Nearby there is a supermarket and a couple of modest restaurants.
The hotel is located on a busy road, which the stay can get somewhat noisy during the day.It is still a good option for short stays or for day use.I was around 6 hours and was able to sleep for a while and take a good shower before traveling.
They offer transfer arrival and departure with extra payment.I hired you and it was super efficient and comfortable.I recommend 100% hiring you at the time of booking because, in my experience, it is very uncomfortable to take taxi at Istanbul airport and Uber hardly works.
Payment for this service was made at the counter and they only accept cash: Euro, Dollar or Lyra.
