Unforgettable memories
Very good experience. The hotel is newly renovated. It is in a great location, only half an hour walk from the blue mosque. Metro station only 5 min walk.
Reception team very friendly. Always trying their best to help. Rooms are equiped with air conditioning and fridge. They are cleaned evey day. The breakfast include a variety of food.
The rooms are quite small.
You could hear nest door customers.
Noisy at night, which is normal considering the location of the hotel.
Sauna and Turkish bath were not in use.

Our stay in early March 2026
Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised by a welcome drink (tea/coffee) at check-in, and even more by a “local mascot” – a parrot from the restaurant that casually walked over to us. A very charming and memorable touch. The reception staff were among the best we’ve experienced in Istanbul – friendly, helpful, and quick to resolve anything.
We were initially given a room on a lower floor, but due to heating issues (the air conditioning didn’t work properly), it was quite cold. After informing the staff, we were promptly moved to a higher floor where everything worked perfectly. Overall room comfort was good – clean, comfortable beds, and no issues with water pressure or temperature.
The location is a big advantage – the hotel is close to Yenikapı and also within easy reach of Sirkeci, which we consider two of the best areas to stay in Istanbul thanks to excellent transport connections (metro, Marmaray, trams). There is also a minimarket right next to the hotel, which is very convenient.
In the mornings, we could hear the call to prayer from a nearby mosque, which is part of the local atmosphere. On the positive side, the curtains block sunlight very effectively, so you can still sleep comfortably without being disturbed by daylight.
Breakfast was good, with a decent selection and regularly replenished. The only downside was that the breakfast area was quite cold.
Overall, very good value for money. If the price is right again, we would be happy to return.

Great Location and Comfortable Rooms
I had a pleasant stay at Grand Hilarium Hotel in Istanbul. The hotel is in a convenient location, making it easy to explore the city and nearby attractions. We stayed at the Grand Hilarium Hotel for 5 days and had a very pleasant experience. The room was comfortable and the staff was always kind and helpful. Considering the price we paid, the room was convenient, adequate, and always clean. The hotel’s location is excellent, close to several public transportation options, making it easy to get around and also easy to reach from the airport by metro.
The breakfast is not very varied, but it offers several sweet and savory options.
Overall, we recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good room in Istanbul.
