The house and the landlady are very, very charming. There is a beautiful garden and the owner is super friendly and helpful and provides a wonderful breakfast!

Cozy colourful house with a friendly contact to the owner and her dogs
I do want to recommend Deniz and her hotel to travelers or vacationers. She is such a dear and big-hearted woman and the place is a really cozy and clean one. The guest area is equipped with its own kitchen, the heating kept us warm and the location is also good, everything can be reached by foot.
Deniz has a whole family of dogs which is something to keep in mind, but they do behave well and are really cute and if you would like to use the garden/patio for sitting, you can tell her that you need some space. There is even a nice hidden area with a bench where you can be by yourself or with your company, have breakfast or just sit with a tea.
If I come back to Kars, I will definitely reach out to Deniz to stay again. Thank you for everything! ~

Deniz is a one of the best hosts you could ever have. The property is immaculate, and perfectly located, but what is the best about it is how much she genuinely cares about her guests. Lovely conversations and a wonderful spirit. Truly an exceptional place to stay.

Everything here was wonderful -- the room was remarkably warm for the weather (about 0-3 degrees celsius when I was there), but the warmest of all was the lovely sister Deniz, who gave me a welcome that would thaw a winter. I arrived close to 10pm, and she gave me a generous hug, along with bread and jam and cheese.
My room was spacious, the bathroom almost absurdly large, and the bed so comfortable... I slept so well every evening. Sister Deniz also set out a wonderful breakfast spread, with the enthusiastic company of the dogs she has rescued. She is doing many wonderful things for both people and animals in her community, and her home is so lovely -- please stay here if you go to Kars! You don't even have to plan anything -- Deniz helped me arrange everything with a driver to see the Ani ruins and Lake Çıldır for a very reasonable price. Don't contact other guides!
I wish I'd taken photos of the house, but please see the photos of things that are nearby -- Kars Castle and cafes are all within 10 minutes' walking distance, and the airport can be reached within 15-20 minutes by car. I loved every moment of my time here, and recommend this to anyone interested in going to Kars!

Deniz’s place is great to stay in if you are very social, want to meet locals in Kars and/or love dogs. Deniz invited us to many outings with her friends in Kars, including dinner at her place, an outing to Ani and coffee with her friends and we were happy to be included and to get a taste of local life in Kars. She’s also a big big dog lover—she’s adopted a lot of stray dogs and they live happily in her garden and in her apartment upstairs. (If you don’t like dogs though, don’t worry—the bottom floor is for guests and the dogs don’t come in there)
The guesthouse was well-furnished. We had an enormous private bathroom and there is a kitchen and washing machine specially for guests. Located in the center of Kars, 10 min walk from the bus station and pretty much any other place you would want to go to in Kars.
Special shoutout out to Denis for her extreme consideration in quickly sending over some items I left behind on the day I checked out to the airport via taxi. Thank you for saving me Denis!!
