We had a wonderful stay at Sherwood Exclusive Lara! The hotel is beautiful, clean, and very well maintained. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help.
The food was delicious with a great variety of options, and the restaurants and bars offered excellent service. The pools, beach, and entertainment were fantastic, making every day enjoyable for both adults and children.
We had little problem with the AC and they solve it.
Overall, it was a relaxing and memorable vacation. I would definitely recommend Sherwood Exclusive Lara to anyone looking for a high-quality all-inclusive holiday, and I would love to come back again!

Before arrival: We received a message offering transfer from the airport. When replying twice to inquire about children's seats, we never heard back from the hotel.
Reception: Upon arrival, an employee started checking us in, but quickly started servicing a turkish family, who came in after us. Throughout our stay, we experienced a clear pattern of favoritism toward Turkish-speaking guests.
Rooms: Beds were extremely hard (may suit some), but rooms are clean with daily housekeeping on request. Cleaning staff were friendly and helpful.
Pool area: All the pools seemed clean, and were tended to daily. The pool area lacked nothing - it had everything from childrens areas to pools exclusively for adults. There were always pool chairs at our disposal. Beach always had space too!
Restaurant: Always excellent selection and variation. Taste 4/5. Restaurants had a lot of flies, could benefit from bug zappers.
Entertainment: Every night shows started at 21:30-23:30, disturbing sea-facing rooms. If you have small children, chose a room facing the road. The amphitheater needs fans, temperatures hit 35°C at night with high humidity. Mini disco for children every night, could have benefitted from variation in entertainment.
On a note: We asked for late check-out (normally at 12), as we had a baby napping in those hours. We were asked to pay 20 euro/hour, despite having spent 12 nights. We know other families got this for free. A little friendliness would have gone a long way!

Wouldn’t return
Will try to keep this to headlines rather than go into everything:
Rooms - our room was fine, air con worked but couldn’t be adjusted so always on full power unless door opened to balcony. Room was clean and had everything we needed
Food - awful, I understand it’s hard to cook en masse at an all inclusive but this was some of the worst food I’ve had in a hotel.
Staff - overworked and not enough of them, could take 20 minutes for a drink at meal times and most don’t speak English (can’t complain as I don’t speak Turkish!)
Restaurant - like an ant farm at peak times, no rules with people pushing in when queues had formed, far too busy.
Pools - all pools were great but needed to be up and at main pool by 06.15am if you wanted to reserve a bed there in our last week.
Beach - lovely and clean with pier bar and pier to jump into sea. Water activities massively overpriced, £120 for a jet ski for 20 mins!
Gym - has all machines and weights required for a decent holiday workout
Overall - nice family holiday but wouldn’t return, not a patch on previous holidays to other hotels in Lara Beach.

Ok
Food good selection, branded drinks included lots of water places and ice cream carts plus the ice cream shop although did run low at the shop regularly.
Pools and water slides good and beach good. Gardener who couldn’t speak was very helpful with loungers and parasols.
Negatives put on the 9th floor which was in the roof air con not working changed rooms next day with some aggressive male receptionist to deal with. Communication poor at reception but did eventually get sorted but not a good first guest impression of the hotel.
Drink service in the main resturant poor we thought it was self service first few days as we had to get our drinks then it was hit and miss. The hotel needs upgrading again as old and tired and not enough lifts for. Number of guests long waits due to being full nothing can be done about that.
Certainly not 5 star hotel, have stayed in many hotels in Turkey this was not one of the best yes for 4 star but weather was fab and once we changed rooms it was better

Best hotel disco should be outside!!
Food great, entertainment is ever better! Staff very attentive and always making sure you are having a nice time. We like the Sherwood hotel and the discos are good when they are outside. There is also a disco inside but the only thing I would request is that the disco’s are outside by the beach bar! Overall, a nice hotel.
