SUPERIOR RECOMMENDATION FOR A FAMILY HOTEL WITH A GREAT VIEW
We stayed 1 night February 14th Valentine’s Day. It was the first time we visited. Actually, I was a little suspicious, but it’s not the last time I’m coming. It’s even my home in Akçakoca. It’s like we were guests at Mr. Ayhan Owner and Mrs. Yeliz’s home. The spot is spotlessly clean and the breakfast is great, and not to mention, Ayhan Abime from Galatasaray greets from here. (The employees were extremely friendly and good, by the way.)

The location is good, but the service is below expectations.
I gave this rating solely for its location; I'm writing this as preliminary information for those considering going to the hotel.
Everything you eat and drink at this hotel is practically monitored; that's the hotel's general approach. Although breakfast hours were between 08:00 and 11:00 every day, the selection was limited and insufficient. The quality of the products was also below expectations; some were very thinly sliced and carelessly prepared. Furthermore, the fact that depleted supplies were not replenished, regardless of when breakfast was served, was a serious shortcoming.
In one instance I witnessed, I noticed that the cheddar cheese was moldy. Despite reporting the situation, it was not removed from the buffet and replaced with a new one. This situation is unacceptable from a hygiene standpoint.
Despite the presence of two tea kettles with cylindrical taps at breakfast and the low number of customers, it was noteworthy that the hotel manager considered a thermos of tea excessive. The tone used was also disturbing. It's incomprehensible that tea is restricted in this way at a breakfast served as a buffet; this contradicts the very concept of a "buffet."
As a hotelier, I would like to point out that each of these cylindrical tap kettles has a capacity of approximately 100–160 tea cups. The staff also informed us that there were only 21 guests at the hotel that day.
Considering all of this, I believe the approach taken is neither understandable nor acceptable. Unfortunately, we only learned as we were leaving Akçakoca that there were alternatives offering better price-performance ratios in terms of location, proximity to the sea, and views.

Otelimizde kahvaltı açık büfe olarak sunulmakta olup, misafirlerimizin kahvaltı alanında diledikleri kadar tüketmeleri konusunda herhangi bir kısıtlama bulunmamaktadır. Ancak açık büfe ürünlerinin ve içeceklerin kahvaltı alanı dışına, özellikle çanta veya termos gibi kişisel kaplarla çıkarılması otel uygulamalarımız gereği uygun değildir. Misafirlerimizin bu konuda uyarılması, “yediklerinin ve içtiklerinin takip edilmesi” amacı taşımamakta; açık büfenin tüm misafirlerimize eşit ve hijyenik şekilde sunulabilmesi için uygulanan standart bir otel kuralıdır.
Çay konusunda da benzer bir durum söz konusudur. Kahvaltı alanında misafirlerimizin tüketimi için yeterli miktarda çay sunulmaktadır. Buradaki uyarı, misafirlerin çay tüketimini sınırlandırmak amacıyla değil, kahvaltı alanında bulunan çayın termosla dışarı çıkarılmasının önüne geçmek amacıyla yapılmıştır.
Kahvaltı ürünlerinin yenilenmediği yönündeki değerlendirmenizi de kabul etmediğimizi belirtmek isteriz. Açık büfemiz gün içerisinde kontrol edilmekte ve ihtiyaç halinde ürün takviyesi yapılmaktadır.
Ayrıca “küflü kaşar peynirinin bildirilmesine rağmen açık büfeden kaldırılmadığı” iddiası bizim açımızdan son derece ciddi bir iddiadır. Böyle bir durum tarafımıza bildirildiğinde gerekli hijyen prosedürleri uygulanmaktadır. Bu nedenle, bu iddianın hangi ürün ve hangi anda yaşandığının belirtilmesi, konuyu personelimiz açısından da araştırabilmemiz adına önemlidir.
Misafir memnuniyeti bizim için önemlidir; ancak açık büfe hizmetinin kişisel tüketim sınırları dışında kullanılmasına izin verilmemesi, hizmet anlayışımızın eksikliği olarak değerlendirilmemelidir.

The hotel is very clean and well-maintained. The owner and employees are very attentive. Breakfast is good. Ideal hotel to listen to. Very close to the sea. The view is good. Centrally located. If I’m on my way, I’d love to stay in this hotel again. It’s a well-paid hotel.

Good location for a bed and breakfast hotel
The location of the hotel is perfect, right next to the sea. Last time I stayed in a tar sea view room. The hotel was extremely clean in terms of cleanliness, I say without exaggeration, it was as clean as my home. The sheets, wardrobes, bathroom and everything in the room were spotless. Let's come to breakfast, a routine breakfast without standard extras. The employees are caring and friendly. It is among the most preferred ones for those who want a bed and breakfast hotel. Thank you very much Poyraz hotel for everything

Lovely and relaxing family run hotel
Clean and nice size rooms and clean showers.
Comfortable beds.
5 minutes walk to the town centre.
Helpful and friendly staff.
