Outstanding accommodation
We stayed six nights in this magnificent hotel located in the heart of the Tunis medina, surrounded by charming little cafes and authentic souks.
This hotel, housed in an old palace, is exceptional, not only for its architecture, but especially for its attentive, warm, and professional staff.
Not to mention the restaurant, which offers delicious Tunisian dishes.
A huge thank you to the manager Souhaiel, Khawla, Nada, Yosra, and Soumaya for making us feel at home. We will never forget you, just like this magnificent country that you helped us discover.

Good value for money.
The Dar El Medina hotel in Tunis primarily attracts with its warm welcome, featuring a smiling and very attentive staff that makes you feel at ease immediately. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious. The location is ideal, right in the heart of the medina, just steps away from the Zitouna mosque and the main thoroughfares, allowing you to fully enjoy the historic center of Tunis. The value for money is interesting, with affordable rates that make the establishment attractive.
On the other hand, the hotel is clearly old and does not reflect modern luxury at all: the facilities are very outdated, although the room remains clean and has the minimum necessary such as air conditioning, television, and a mini-bar. Comfort remains the weak point, particularly due to a rather dark room and especially a very hard bed, with an uncomfortable mattress and pillows that are too hard and bulky, which can disrupt sleep. Nevertheless, this positioning largely explains the price, and the overall experience remains consistent in terms of value for money.

In the heart of the Medina of Tunis.
A fascinating stay in the heart of the Medina. The spacious room in typical riad style, set in a historic building, immediately conveys the authentic atmosphere of the city. We had booked dinner on the terrace, but the wind forced us to move inside: our request was met immediately, a sign of great willingness.
On the culinary front, the offerings are quite simple and the service a bit basic, lacking the professionalism one would expect; moreover, no wine is served as the hotel does not have a license. However, the historic and picturesque setting of the Medina and the beauty of the surroundings make the experience overall very positive and recommendable for those seeking an authentic and characteristic stay.

We had lunch at the restaurant of this boutique hotel located inside the Medina during our trip to Tunis.
The atmosphere on the terrace is magical; you can indeed enjoy your meal with a view of the city rooftops.
The menu is varied, the portions are generous, and the bill offers good value for money.
