Ok for a night
Ok for a night, first stay before our safari, all good , big room , nice meal in the hotel restaurant. Second stay on return from safari, again nice room, though had to call at reception multiple times as not enough cups, no towels and the hairdryer didn't work. Was told someone would be up to let me use a hairdryer in another room. No one came so gave up . Shame as our first stay was so good.

Not Premium but not the worst place to stay
The name Premium is certainly misleading. You can see that it was once a beautiful hotel with style and grandeur but sadly that was many years ago. We stayed at the beginning and end of a safari trip. The common areas still look smart on initial impressions but you can see that they have been neglected over the years. The rooms are very tired and both of ours had dangerous trip hazards on the floor which could have resulted in injury.
However, the staff are all friendly and helpful.
The food and drinks are very good and reasonably priced but service is incredibly slow.
It’s ok for single nights but not somewhere to stay for a week.
You can leave your excess luggage when on safari and there is a cash machine close by at the fuel station.
I wouldn’t stay again but it hasn’t scarred me for life either.
However, the staff are all friendly and helpful.
The food and drinks are very good and reasonably priced but service is incredibly slow.

A true disaster.
Booked pickup from airport, but no one came. When arriving to the hotel at 3 o clock in the morning - there was no rooms available even though my reservation was booked, confirmed and paid via Hotels.
They send us to a hotel nearby where we could stay some hours (they needed the rooms for new guests) and the quality and standard was VERY low.
Came back to SG Hotel and spoke to the manager who offered a dinner and a drink which we did not accept. I demanded a cash refund which was accepted to be given at check out. When I checked out the manager was “not available” and I had to leave without any compensation.
I was there on business and it got heavily impacted by this incident with missing sleep, rescheduling of meetings etc.
This hotel has no place on Hotels.com who I by the way also tried to contact at night, but a poor connection made me loose my place in line and eventually I had to give up. Here a direct phone number would have helped me.

Unclean and disgusting
Stayed in SG Premium Resort for one night before and after safari. The name "Premium" is very misleading and the hotel is definitely not worthy of 3 stars.
The rooms were not very clean. In the room I first stayed in the floor felt sticky when I walked barefoot on it. And when when I wore white socks they turned brown underneath after walking on the floor. The sink was almost clogged and the toilet was barely flushing.
After the safari I stayed in a different room that was even more worn and had lots of mould around the air condition. In this room the bathroom floor was also very dirty, so I asked them to clean it. A cleaner came and more or less just moved the dirt around the floor with a mop. So the dirt was basically just moved from one place to another on the floor. In the end I just gave up explaining and accepted that I would have a dirty bathroom floor while staying here. When she left the room she then proceeded to mop the carpet floor (!) in the hallway outside with the same mop. This really made me question how the rooms at this hotel are actually cleaned, as well as the general cleanliness and hygiene at the hotel.
There was only one single towel in the rooms and I asked the staff if I could get one or two more, so I at least could have separate towels for showering and habd wash. The were very friendly and told me several times that they would bring me one, but I am still waiting for that extra towel.
The soups in the restaurant were very good, however the service at the restaurant was extremely slow. Expect to spend at least 1 hour just to have a starterdish like a bowl of soup, and even more if you want to eat a main dish as well. Breakfast was not the best.
This could have been a good hotel if it was better maintained and the rooms were properly cleaned. But it looks like they just don't care.

Lots of light, lots of shade
Twice in a week we stayed at the SG Premium Resort - although the "premium" was more than flattering at least on the first visit. The staff was certainly friendly, but that was it. We had a large room, with desk and seating, but dark and not exactly clean. The light switch hung out of the appliance socket, a bedside lamp also did not work, in the bathroom there were only two worn towels, the food in the restaurant we had to complain: the "filet" of beef was simply tough. Annoying that we had to go back to the same hotel at the end of our safari.
But maybe my clear words had helped, maybe another management was also responsible, the hotel was like changed: this time we had a bright and clean room, all the counters worked, the staff not only friendly. but tried. Why not right away?
The SG Resort had many guests during our stay at the beginning or end of a safari - day guests who do work but at best only come by twice. But dear SG Management, do you really want to be "me too" and define yourself only by a low price and consequently higher guest volume and handling? Or would customer satisfaction and therefore a good image not be more sustainable?
But maybe my clear words had helped, maybe another management was also responsible, the hotel was like changed: this time we had a bright and clean room, all the counters worked, the staff not only friendly. but tried. Why not right away?
