We saw the simple sign by the road and went up.

Just visited the hotel for a lunch. But what a lunch. Very good hot smoked salmon, bread and coffee, cake. Nice staff served us. We had a lovely lunch.

Good hotel with some drawbacks

The Novi is quite alright; it promises quite a lot, but in the details, it is lacking a bit. In front of the rear balcony of the deluxe room, everything is piled up; worn-out chairs, transport pallets are stacked up, and other waste - not the view one wishes for. The breakfast is completely overcrowded in the high season and seems loveless, more like a battlefield. The shower cabin cannot be closed; ergonomically, it does not work the way it was built. The bathtub is defective and cannot be drained; the repair will not follow until the next day. The rooms are spacious, the pool is great and even heated, and there are enough parking spaces available.

Not worth the money

Not worth the money. The staff is not very service less. Did not get a double bed even though we booked it. Breakfast was like that. Nice location and view

Work on customer friendliness

Nice place, nice pool and good breakfast. The location is perfect in a quiet area, not too far away from the city center, but within walking distance. Perfect to cycle in the area and into the city center. We rented bikes from the resort for 4h and it was good bikes, good helmets, but quite expensive.
Cleanliness also good. Rooms slightly worn and maintenance was not good you could see. Broken stuff here and there, for example in the room the table fan was broken. Shuffle board game broken next to the restaurant. Could be fixed or removed, no note there that it was not useful.
At breakfast there were no spoons, napkins etc. We told you about things that were missing like 5 times one morning. One of the people who worked just stood behind the counter and looked. No one greeted good morning or welcome. No customer friendliness at all or servicemind.
We did not get breakfast when we asked for departure at 7 am, so it was big minus. Breakfast started at 7:30...

Scam

They just forced me to cancel my booking with the explanation that there was a mistake and my rate did not include breakfast, do please cancel and rebook with a higher price( btw. previous one was also 30% higher then any other solid hotel in Visby…). I did book another hotel. Interestedly enough, they did not have any rooms available for my dates… It’s end of October and not high season, so should not be the problem. So, my assumption, they got a big booking for conference or something and this is their way of cleaning space. Terrible.
