Located beside Sollentuna Centrum shopping mall, this hotel is only a 15-minute train ride from central Stockholm. Guests can enjoy free access to the relaxation area with pool and sauna. We also have a gym and jogging trails nearby.

Highly recommended hotel. The lobby was really great. Love the chandelier, the pillars, the glazed atrium. Also, the staff was very helpful and friendly. The pool located on the top floor was quite small but during low-season, it's almost a private pool. Standard rooms, spacious and clean also. Breakfast was the good.

A sofa bed as the main bed for four nights
Conveniently located, but our family room was very disappointing. It had two single beds for the children, while the main bed was actually a sofa bed - and an extremely uncomfortable one. We eventually had to sleep with our heads at the foot end because the other way was so uncomfortable, and even then we kept sliding towards the middle. The exposed metal parts also left me with bruises. Having to sleep like this for four nights was terrible, and I really don’t understand how a hotel of this standard can offer a family room without a proper main bed.
The swimming pool was closed during our stay, and we were not offered any compensation, discount or voucher.
Soundproofing was also poor. There were some very noisy guests late at night, including children running through the corridors, and we could hear everything from our room.
On the positive side, the location was convenient and the breakfast was excellent.

Wondering how to get a room that does not have windows facing the tracks?
we booked this Christmas our stay now in early August and even then we asked to be accommodated towards Aniara site because we can not sleep to the train sounds
We still got room straight out onto the commuter rail tracks
Said immediately and asked for a new room, then we got another room that we approved even though the windows were inward facing the atrium,
Woke up at 6 in the morning from the whole room reeking of bacon.
Something must be wrong with the ventilation from the kitchen???
Since the room had no windows where you could get fresh air it became unbearable inside that room!!!. Besides the smell of bacon, it was hot as in a desert
I just sat there crying and wanted to go home. I didn't know how we could last several more nights in this room.
So I said once again, even though it means great difficulty for me as a person to complain and show dissatisfaction.
The new room naturally had windows facing the train tracks….
I was completely finished when I came home after four nights without sleep
Considering what it costs to sleep one night at this hotel, it doesn't feel okay!!! It's a lousy budget hotel, and I wouldn't have complained if the price were accordingly.

Jag förstår verkligen er frustration. Ni framförde redan vid bokningen önskemål om ett rum mot Aniaraplatsen eftersom ni är känsliga för ljud från tågen, och det är naturligtvis beklagligt att ni ändå först placerades i ett rum mot spåren. Att ni dessutom behövde byta rum flera gånger under vistelsen måste ha varit både stressande och påfrestande.
Det är också mycket tråkigt att det andra rummet inte fungerade bättre. En stark matos i rummet tidigt på morgonen, i kombination med att det upplevdes varmt och svårt att vädra, är naturligtvis inte den komfort man ska kunna förvänta sig som gäst hos oss. Era synpunkter kring ventilationen är viktiga och kommer att tas vidare till ansvariga för utredning och uppföljning.
Framför allt är jag ledsen att vistelsen påverkade er sömn så pass mycket att ni kom hem helt utmattad efter fyra nätter. Vi vill att våra gäster ska känna sig väl omhändertagna och kunna koppla av hos oss, och det är uppenbart att vi inte lyckades leva upp till det under ert besök.

Scandic Star Sollentuna - I would not recommend it.
The hotel is aesthetically pleasing, absolutely pleasant, and very welcoming staff.However we are utterly disappointed with our stay at Scandic Star Sollentuna. At the peak of summer, the hotel informed us late after check‑in, that the pool would be out of service for a full three days. This is completely unacceptable. The pool was one of the main reasons we booked this hotel, and my boys were excited to use it. No advance notice, no warning, nothing.
On top of that, we were woken up at 6am by loud construction work right outside the hotel. Constant drilling and digging with no communication from the hotel whatsoever. The noise made it impossible to rest.
For a hotel of this size and reputation, the lack of transparency and guest consideration is shocking. Our stay has been heavily disrupted, and I would not recommend this hotel based on this experience.
On top of that, we were woken up at 6am by loud construction work right outside the hotel. Constant drilling and digging with no communication from the hotel whatsoever. The noise made it impossible to rest.

Very nice stay
Super nice stay! Perfect location (square but also distance to the shuttle), beautiful lobby, super nice family room, much extra like pool, movie nights, table tennis etc! Very nice breakfast
