The room was excellent, but the staff was the best! Very friendly and helpful, plus the restaurant was AMAZING! Great family owned place, I will be coming back!

A really highly recommended place!

In wonderful autumn weather we spent a week at Cruna. Although we did not know this place we were surprised with a perfect hotel. The welcome, the allocation of parking and the explanations about the hotel were friendly and complete. The concept with optional room cleaning convinced us very much. The check-in in the room was still done and missing things replaced.
Our room was very nice, clean and functionally furnished. Only one way (behind the door) to hang a jacket short we missed.
The really pleasing thing was the dinner. We booked HP and were still allowed to choose the starter and main course. All the food, were varied prepared with great care and with really excellent combinations. The Service was very friendly and professional. It was a pleasure to sit at the table every night and our expectations were always more than met. The wide range of wines from home and abroad was also excellent. The rather reserved but very friendly nature of the host family we have greatly appreciated. For questions or information there was always someone there.

A great experience

Escaping the Augustan heat, we stayed two nights in this hotel, enjoying half board.
The only flaw of this hotel is perhaps the location, directly overlooking the main road, with a really limited outdoor space and the absence of reserved parking (at 20 meters there is a large public parking agreement at a cost of 5 francs per day).
For the rest only positive notes, starting from the room reserved for us, spotless, excellently soundproofed, large and with a sitting area. Excellent dinner on four courses (two of your choice), with excellently cooked and well presented dishes.
Also good breakfast.
Really friendly staff and fair price.

Bliss in the Swiss Alps

We stayed at Hotel La Cruna over Christmas 2023. We absolutely loved our stay. The hotel is family owned and run. It was so lovely to see the family moving about their lives, while providing exceptional service to their guests. Diana and ‘big Joe’ as he introduced himself, were so accommodating, approachable and helpful. The daily breakfast was lovely, and we dined in the restaurant for dinner a couple of times. The food was very nice. The hotel has a room to store ski gear, and a lovely spa area, helping ease the aches of a day worth of skiing.
We loved the location of this hotel. We opted not to stay in Andermatt, and wanted to stay in a more quaint village and away from hoards of tourists. Sedrun did not disappoint, and was an easy commute and close proximity to Andermatt and Disentis, so offered the best of all ‘worlds’ in the beautiful Swiss alps.
We will definitely be back! Thanks Jo and Diana. See you again in a year or two.
