Hotel is not the building pictured. The newer building looks rough.
Breakfast is $30 a person for a buffet
Room was an oven with a super loud fan, the curtains may have helped but didn’t make it sleepable
Toilets in a different room than the sink (may be European but was annoying)
We were told there was no still water and to get it from the tap but then there was more when we returned a few hours later.

No sheet (so blanket or nothing in 80 degree weather)

Very Disappointing Stay – Certainly Not a 4-Star Experience
The hotel was easy to find, but parking was an issue. We were told that the only available option was to park in the 15-minute “Waiting Bay”, for which we were charged an additional fee on top of the €350 per night room rate.
On arrival, the reception area appeared very modern and was certainly in keeping with what we would expect from a four-star hotel. Unfortunately, our experience changed considerably once we reached our room, number 106, on the first floor overlooking the lake.
The noise from a wedding reception being held at the hotel was extremely loud, both outside and throughout the hotel. The hotel has no air conditioning, but a large fan had been provided instead. On closer inspection, we found the room to be extremely dirty and dusty. When we eventually used the fan, it blew fluff and dust from underneath the bed into the room.
There were also several maintenance issues. The sliding bathroom door was virtually impossible to close, and a large panel from the washbasin surround fell off when we opened an adjacent drawer. The shower cubicle also had visible mould on the walls.
Most seriously, the music from the wedding was so loud that it was impossible to sleep and continued until after midnight.
We contacted reception to ask if we could be moved to another room, but were told that the hotel was fully booked. We were also told that we had been allocated one of the hotel’s best rooms and that the rooms in the other part of the hotel were “not as nice”. This left us with no realistic alternative but to stay in the room for the night.
Given the condition of the room, the lack of air conditioning, the cleanliness issues, the maintenance problems and the excessive noise, we felt that our stay was more comparable to a one-star hotel than the four-star accommodation we had booked and paid €350 for.
To add to our disappointment, we discovered that the main corridor leading to the lifts was also being used to store bicycles. We were told that this was to prevent them from being stolen, which hardly seemed appropriate for a hotel of this standard.
We did raise all of these issues with reception, who assured us that management would respond to our complaint. Unfortunately, we are still waiting for that response.
The one positive aspect of our stay was the breakfast, which was very good and of a high standard.
Overall, we would not recommend this hotel. In our opinion, it falls well below the standard advertised for a four-star property and was certainly not worth the €350 we paid for our stay.
There are plenty of much better-quality hotels closer to the town, and having experienced this hotel, we wish we had chosen one of them instead.

bad experience
The room was unbelievably tiny—more like a small birdcage than a hotel room. It was hot, there was no air-conditioning, and the fan provided was so noisy that sleeping was almost impossible. The reception experience was even worse. The elderly morning receptionist reminded me of the disguised granny from Goldilocks, sitting behind the desk with a basket of fruit and bottles of water, carefully counting them and handing out one to each guest. Unfortunately, the attitude towards guests was just as unpleasant as the experience suggests—cold, rude, and completely unwelcoming. The overall experience was extremely disappointing. My strong advice is to stay away from this hotel.

Too bad!
Well-located hotel, beautiful view of the lake but no air conditioning! In over 30-degree weather, the rooms overlooking the lake are like ovens.
Does not deserve its 4 stars. Hotel needs renovation! Friendly staff, clean rooms.

Lake view top, rest flop
View of the lake is top, but that is also the only great thing about this hotel. The staff was unfriendly (esp. reception) and incompetent (service). Breakfast buffet not recommended, was not refilled when something was empty (e.g., scrambled eggs). Rooms in the "new building" need a renovation, esp. Tiles in the bathroom were crumbling. Was not worth the price. Too bad.
