Great place and I would go back
The staff are friendly. The hotel is clean and is in a safe neighborhood. All of Damascus is pretty safe really. The old city and the old bazzar are about 5 minutes away on foot.
I was able to get a great deal at this hotel.

Gemütliche Übernachtungsmöglichkeit
Das Hotel hat zwei Zimmerkategorien,und zwar Einzel- und Doppelzimmer sowie Suites in Form von Einzimmerappartments mit Kochgelegenheit.
Übernachtung mit Frühstück ist Standard. Der Frühstückssaal ist im EG hinter der Rezeption, wo es auch nachmittags Kaffee und Co. gibt. Abends wird es in ein Restaurant umgewandelt, in dem es u.a. westliches Essen gibt, wie z.B. Kalbsschnitzel mit Pommes und Salat zu ca 5 EUR. Alkoholische Getränke werden im Hotel nicht angeboten, aber in der Nähe gibt es Liquor Stores, in denen man sich mit Alkoholika versorgen kann.
Übernachtungskosten belaufen sich je nach Saison auf 50 bis 70 USD. Kreditkarten werden nicht akzeptiert, wohl aber Fremdwaehrungen wie Euro.
Das Hotel bietet einen Shuttle Service zum Flughafen für ca 10 EUR. Der PKW (Kia) war neu und der Service eine Erleichterung.
