Lovely Maine getaway

The BnB was comfortable and nicely decorated. The grounds were beautiful and was nice very well kept. The hosts were kind and helpful/knowledgeable about the area/things to do. We stayed several nights and had several breakfasts. Each was Delicious...see photos. We really enjoyed staying with Tom and Judy. We really didn't want to leave!!!

For an in town property we really have exceptional views of the river that we never tire of but have failed to emphasis in our marketing. Thanks also for the comment on our breakfasts, While we change them daily our guests have praised them all.

Lovely comfortable stay for a busy vacation!

We loved our stay at Black Lantern Inn. We had a very full schedule for our 5 days in Maine, and Tom was incredibly accommodating for our early, busy days. The room was well decorated and the AC unit worked well for the August heat. Breakfast was delicious with perfect eggs and homemade muffins. It felt like going over to a grandparent’s house in the best way.
Tom was also very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas and had excellent recommendations - take the time to pick his brain. We were sad to not meet Judy as she was away during our stay, but can speak to how kind and wonderful Tom is.
Would gladly stay again!

Charming and restful

Charming place and so comfortable. Tom and Judy are delightful hosts in this two story house built in the 1800s. Their furbabies, Daisy and S'more are precious. Beautiful Grounds and gardens with a view of the Androscoggin River. Many places to sit on the lawn or the covered porch has lovely seating too. Breakfast is gourmet....fruit, fresh baked goods and special hot dishes that are different each day (we had eggs, individual Dutch Babies, apple pancakes, and French bread French toast with real maple syrup. Spotlessly clean and comfortable bed. Quiet and thoughtful amenities. Rooms are on the second floor and there is no elevator. But the house has been fully renovated and updated without losing the period charm. This will now be our 'go to' place in Brunswick area.

Wow! Thanks for the very positive comments. You touched on all, of what we believe, are our strengths. When we decorated the bedrooms we made a point of having a side table with lamp for bedtime reading and "smart" alarm clock with both USB and 110 outlets on each side of the Queen-size beds

Fabulous find!

Black Lantern B&B was perfect! My family greatly enjoyed our stay at this lovely property. Tom and Judy were fantastic hosts! Breakfast in the dining room was amazing. We had to leave too early for breakfast on our 2nd morning so they prepared to-go bags for us to take on the road, so kind. We had everything we needed for a wonderful stay.

Thank you for your very kind comments. While we serve breakfast from 7 till 9 AM we recognize that guests occasionally need to leave early and try to provide a bag breakfast with some fruit and muffins / sweet bread and a covered Styrofoam cup for coffee or tea.

Very highly recommended

This is an outstanding B&B, one of the best we have stayed in. We were warmly greeted by Tom on our arrival and our room was delightfully furnished and with all we needed. The garden in which the B&B is set is beautiful, looking down to the river. Our breakfast was superb, with Judy's home cooking a special treat. Tom went to the trouble of printing off suggestions for our travels which we really appreciated.
