We didn’t know that this was a family owned establishment when we made the booking but on site it’s obvious. Both Hannah and one of her sons welcomed us warmly! The lodge itself is very genuine and cozy, the homemade breakfast was amazing. Our last morning we saw a black bear in the garden as a bonus! It’s a short drive in to town and all in all this was a great place to stay at!

Enjoyed our experience

This was a cute place with a very north wood cabin vibe. They have an excellent breakfast (I have allergies to several foods and they prepared GF/vegan muffins I could eat! That was so touching and unexpected.) They have nice outdoor seating to look out to the woods, a very nice escape and Stowe is such a cute and fun area to explore.

The building is older and the walls are very thin. They do provide a sound machine to try to help cover up some of the noice of other guests. Keep in mind that the cedar room is very small as was the bathroom. I couldn’t bring my arms up to do my hair without both hitting the walls. I literally had to stand sideways. I can’t comment on the other rooms, but if you are at all claustrophobic, I wouldn’t choose the cedar room.
The grounds were terrific. We enjoyed the hot tub each night and even saw a bear!

Fun 4th of July vacation

We had an excellent stay and completely fell in love with the Stowe area. The Inn is perfectly located near the bike path, breweries, and the center of town. Hannah, the innkeeper, cooked an outstanding breakfast every morning and made us feel right at home. We’re already planning to return in the fall. Lots a sites to see and activities in the area. Nice To Be Back

Inn was nice. I have stayed there previously. It is close to Stowe Mountain Resort, which is great for skiing. You can leave boots outside the room. Rooms are small, so be prepared for that. Some may be tough for 2 people. Breakfast was very good. The innkeeper is a good cook and very friendly. It was nice meeting new people from around the northeast during the late afternoon and evening. The Inn has a nice fireplace and a hot tub. Be aware that if your room is under a suite, you will hear the people above you.
