Had a great relaxing low key weekend with the family and some friends

Amazing relaxing glamping experience! This place is a fisherman’s paradise. Walk out of your glamping “tent” to fish in a small river. Mostly a hybrid bass and sun fish. Move over to one of the few lakes for some bigger bass (over a lb), rock bass, stripers. You have easy access to the Illinois river. There is a small natural beach that we swam at. They do have a beach they are making but it wasn’t done yet.
Each tent has its own fire pit. Have your morning coffee on the cute porch and check and enjoy the nature and wild birds. There are trails for miles to walk. Very dog friendly. Our vizsla had the time of her life getting in the brush and going into the lakes. The glamping tent we stayed in was comfortable and clean. Had everything you could need for a weekend. If you don’t want to cook check one of two restaurants on or near the property. There are kayaks to rent.

Just ok, not as great as anticipated.

Our family stayed one night as a stop over on our way to Iowa. We chose this location because my son likes to fish and the glamping tents looked interesting. According to the maps and the website pictures , it appeared that there would be waterfront type views from the entry/porch of the tents. This is not what was in front of our tent (see photo). The fishing seemed poorly maintained and there was very little access to the water, as well as very confusing instructions on the website. We didn’t plan to swim but that area was almost unusable as well. Golf carts and small watercraft are available to rent but there wasn’t an employee in sight to attempt to rent them. Our check in experience consisted of a women calling me on the phone around 1 pm asking when we planned to check in. Check in was listed as 3pm so I told her we didn’t plan to get there until around 4. She said she would leave the keys under the doormat of tent 19 because she “was moving today” and was not available to check us in at that time. The tent was as clean as a tent is expected to be. The restaurant was fully staffed and the food was good. The resort as an unbelievable amount of potential but it was a bit of a miss for us.

did not honor my reservation talk me into repaying said i would get refunded. They then cancelled my receipt off my email after i left. Will not return my emails or calls

Their amenities listed are completely false. From no beach access due to health concerns all the way to no wi-fi. Would strongly suggest to go elsewhere unless you enjoy being freezing cold all night and buying your own toilet paper.
