This property was quaint, clean and comfortable. He bathroom and furnishings appeared brand new. And the exterior of the property was well kept and attractive. Although no view of the harbor, the up close mountain view was beautiful. Desk staff were very friendly.

Very Disappointing Experience

I had a very unpleasant experience with the owner of this motel. I was simply walking my dog through a public back alley when the owner immediately yelled at me, telling me to “get off my property.” I was not on his property, and my dog was only walking by. At no point did my dog pee or poop on his property.
He then continued yelling at me and threatened to give me a ticket, even though I was simply passing through the public alley. The way he spoke to me was extremely rude and aggressive, especially toward someone who was just walking by and minding their own business.
I understand that property owners want people to respect their property, but there is a respectful way to communicate that. Being screamed at and threatened when I wasn’t even on the property was completely unnecessary.
Based on this experience, I would not feel comfortable recommending this motel.

Standard room met our needs.

Basic accommodations that met our needs for enjoying Seward. Location close enough to harbor excursions.

Avoid this hotel at any costs!!

Rooms smelly, very old fashioned, rotten furniture. The service staff outstanding unfriendly, unprofessionell. Question: any event around?? Receptionist answer: no nothing. The shuttle to go to the event was announced on the entrance door!!!
The only friendly and helpful person is the Night Shift Guy.
Breakfast is the best: the service lady is a real horror, never saw something more unfriendly
