Very clean and manager is very responsive to any issues that arise. Lots of different cuisines within the area to choose from.

Genuinely the worst experience I could have imagined. The door to our room only locked from the outside, so there wasn't a way for us to secure ourselves or our things over night. We just had to pile all the furniture in front of our door and hope no one came in. The bathroom window was open, broken, and jade a body shaped hole cut in the screen. It let back to an alleyway with a ladder in it. So wondering if the local homeless population uses their bathrooms? On top of that, there was someone inside the building - what sounded like - moving lockers around the rooms from about 1:30 AM to 5 AM. Absolutely miserable experience for the price. Way too expensive. No refunds for a reason, if they allowed them, everyone would request one. Highly recommend staying literally anywhere else.

The property was well maintained and private. The shared bathrooms were clean and safe. The room was adequate and sheets/linens were clean. The area is safe and walkable with plenty of coffee and local shops. Check-in and check-out instructions were clear.

Cheap and easy access to city, pretty clean. BUT Chris, the owner, was never helpful. First day, trying to check in, no one sent us the door code to the front so everyone was locked out until a random worker let us in. Then, we had to call the man to get the room code which he was supposed to text me that morning. I accidentally made 2 consecutive reservations, so I specifically reached out beforehand to ask if I could keep my room. He said yes and then gave me the wrong code for the new reservation and I was locked out of my room and stuck in the lobby in the middle of the night. This guy did not answer my calls, and is just straight up causing issues that were completely preventable. Terrible service.

There are some little things that could be improved but I’ve stayed here twice now and I still think it’s the best value in Seattle. The location and price are hard to beat and the rooms are private with shared bathrooms in the hallway. My suggestions would be:
- Add some shelves in the bathrooms where guests can put their clothes and toiletries while they shower. The floors get pretty wet and it’s hard to keep things off the floor.
- The mattresses sag a bit and could use some updating, you can feel the springs. They’re OK for comfort but not great.
- Make it more clear that you need to use the room door code to both lock and unlock the door every time you enter and exit the room. It briefly mentions it in the text you receive but maybe a sign on the inside of the door to remind guests how it works. These doors don’t automatically lock like you’d expect at most hotels.
Overall though I’ve been pretty happy both times I’ve stayed here and I would stay again in the future. I recommend it if you don’t mind sharing the bathroom in the hallway (they are still individual bathrooms). It’s somewhat between a hostel and a hotel.
