Desirable location, almost everything needed for a short stay

Pertaining to Unit A:
Pros: Dedicated parking, walkable to everything. Unit is clean, bright & spacious, has unique interior with pleasing decor. Right on the river with half wrap-around view & lots of natural light. Comfortable furnishings. Modern conveniences (TV, kitchen, AC, fireplace, plenty of plug outlets, white noise machine, good lighting, a full mirror, hooks for hanging coats & towels, king bed with decent mattress). Landlord was responsive to communications. Overall, we would consider returning here. But note . . . . .
Cons: Rental required signing a multi-page document of rules ("Guests must . . ."), agreements (by renter, not by landlord) and releases, which is off-putting for a simple 2-night stay. The high extra cost for early check-in or late check-out (10am is too early!!) feels greedy given the nightly rate. The outside wood stairs going up to unit were in poor shape, don’t seem safe. Bedroom had a small table for phone, book & trinkets but no dresser or even any portable luggage racks, so there was no place to keep your clothes except the floor. Closet had a hanging bar but no shelves. Noise - on the water means intermittent boat motor noise, but not excessive during our stay. HVAC and refrigerator motor were unusually noisy inside the unit. Microwave was not working properly, which was reported and hopefully will be fixed for the next guests. Bathroom sink faucet emits only a weak trickle.

Best View

I can only speak of unit A. Great river action and views, Unit was nice, great location in town, Mgmt team was responsive. If you stay here, stay on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday because there is a restaurant below, ( Rest, closed Monday & Tuesday) (Food Good) and they are loud with slamming of doors of different types, you feel it, this will drive you crazy if you stay longer, garbage right below unit. Separately they shake the Apt 24/7 with compressors of some type going on and off. None of the doors in the unit open properly. Fishing fleet out front, they are nice and much quieter than the restaurant, there is some fish smells here and there, however I am a boater and don't mind, you also have thin walls with unit B. Personally I would not stay again until the situation changes , I would liked to have given higher review .

The River Gouge

What used to be a quaint option for staying in town has become something else. We must've stayed there a dozen times over the years. Apparently, the previous owners sold to some property managers that basically want to gouge you. I refuse to pay what they're asking. Gone the way of so much in contemporary society -- gouge, gouge, gouge.

Fabulous River Front Location, Friendly Owners, Market/Deli Downstairs

We've actually stayed in the north suite several times, always in winter for holiday festivities. Nice folks who own the deli/store and the 2 suites upstairs. Both suites are 1-bedroom apartments with balconies over the river, gas fireplace, full kitchen, large living rooms, comfy beds, plenty of room for a couple and 2 kids.
