The hotel is new. So that was nice. I feel like with the staff and how they take care of their guests it will go down hill very quickly if not properly addressed by the management team just like most of the hotels in Midland. We had ants in our room, we stayed 2 nights. We were never offered another room, nor was it ever looked into. Several staff members were notified both days. At check out the on duty manager did take care of it for us by discounting our stay but staff should have addressed it immediately to management. We did not have house keeping service the entire stay which is why they probably have an ant issue. But I did appreciate the manager. We ate breakfast the last morning, and it was okay. Waiter was rude as soon as he figured out our breakfast was comped by management. Coffee was cold and when I addressed that with him he never refilled the coffee. He just kept pouring us the same cold coffee. Would we stay there again? Probably not. It’s right next door to a very busy HEB parking lot and across from Canes Chicken so traffic in the parking lot and parking was alittle crazy

No a/c

The a/c does not work in the guest rooms which is a shame because the property is brand new. But a room with non-working a/c is miserable.
Sheets were not provided for the fold out couch, only a blanket and pillow. I contacted the front desk and specifically asked for sheets. I received a second blanket. Management apparently expects you to sleep on a mattress pad.

Great, but where's my cookie?

I stayed here on the fifth floor in a King Room for one night in May 2026.
Positives
• Exactly what I want from a road trip hotel. Clean, modern, comfortable, and easy. After a long day on the road, it simply worked.
• The room was in good shape and felt well maintained. The air conditioning kept up with the West Texas heat, and the bed made it easy to get a solid night’s sleep before another day of driving.
Negatives
• No chocolate chip cookie appeared at check-in. None appeared later. I searched neither high nor low, but I remained alert. This is a DoubleTree. The cookie is not an amenity. The cookie is the mission.

the hotel itself was ok, but the front desk person was really rude, took over an hour to find our reservation since we had originally made it for saturday then had it changed to friday and even after she found it she make us wait and was extremely rude, then the manager came and changed it in less than a minute, but we had already been waiting for an over an hour and by the time we were checked in almost all the restaurants were closed and we had to grab dinner and eat at our hotel room after a 10hr drive, probably wont stop there again
