Disappointing room

The location is decent if not a bit secluded. The hotel in general is in need of various minor repairs. The staff was friendly and professional. The room was Not clean. The bathroom sink did not drain properly, the towel bar was rusty, the sink lip drain was moldy and there were dirt smudges on the tile floor. The worst part of the bathroom was the clogged shower drain. Nobody I know likes showering in ankle deep water! I took it upon myself to clear the drain of the biggest hair clog I have ever seen. The beds had numerous hairs on the upper sheets under the pillows. No way this hotel is worth $250/night. The Hilton Garden Inn in Chesterton is about the same price and 100% cleaner.

Not what I expected from a Hilton property. I have never this bad of customer service in 20 years!

Upon arrival and going to our room we were greeted with some lying bugs and no blackout shade. We contacted the front desk and were told to hang a bed sheet over the window they didn't have a maintenance man to help us out. And when checking out I left my name and phone number for the general manager to give me a call back which she never did, on my 4th call back I finally got her on the phone and she told me she was going to see what kind of credit she could offer with points. So far nothing and no call back to inform me.

Will not stay here again.

Find somewhere else to stay if you can. First room we stunk. My wife thought it was cigarette smoke. To me, it smelled like horrible body odor or pot. Also, the sheets were not changed from the previous guest. We had to keep the room for the night because they were "sold out". On the second day of our stay, we were able to change rooms. The new room didn't stink, but the TV was broken. The place in general had a strange vibe.

The room Carpet was WET. We reported it , maintenance came I just got out of the shower , husband just got in the shower. I asked him to come back at 4:30 pm He said OK! We got dressed came out
NO MAINTENANCE GUY!!
2 Nights WET CARPET NOT GOOD THEN MILDEW SMELL SET IN. Thank God
It was time to CHECK OUT!
