You’ll be surprised how fast you will get used to not having an AC. Fans and open windows work, but bring sleep mask and earplugs, because coqui frogs get loud in front of the house and in seafront rooms you’ll have those screened windows open. Owners made us feel truly welcomed.

Great place, perfect location!

We spent the first part of our week on the Big Island in Hilo, and chose this B&B for our lodging. Overall, a great experience. Clean rooms, private parking, beach chairs available if you need them (we did!), a small above ground pool (we didn't make use of it), lots of porch seating, overall great location, and great breakfasts.
Cheryl was a great hostess, greeting us each day with a few breakfast options (all were excellent), happy to give recommendations for food, beaches, and attractions - and even offered to help us with laundry if needed. We didn't take her up on that, but it was a very sweet bonus to have that available. Location is just a few minutes to downtown Hilo, a number of great beaches nearby, as well as key attractions.
We had the room right next to the kitchen. We found the room to be clean and quiet with a fantastic waterfront view. I was a little concerned about not having a/c (which is common for many inns in the area). But as other reviewers have said, it was really fine. The nights are cool enough that with windows and a fan going, we were very comfortable. Didn't really miss the a/c.
My only very minor complaint is that the bath towels could use updating. Though always clean, but past their prime.
And if that's my big complaint about a four night stay, that says something. This place is a gem!

No A/C. If that’s a deal breaker, look elsewhere. Otherwise a nice stay. Attentive hosts.

Ocean view, bottled-cold drinking water and breakfast are the best things about the B&B. But the room we had is a little too small for two people and the room has no air conditioning and it was hot to sleep until later night.

We were greeted by the owner who toted our luggage in then gave us a brief tour and some helpful touring suggestions. Our room was clean and comfortable with very good beds. The large balcony area adjacent to our room was lovely. Breakfast was prompt and very tasty. Overall a very nice experience.
