Beware AVOID IF POSSIBLE, not safe. Nasty
If you can avoid this place, do so. We have stayed at hotels worldwide, this place should be shut down. **We were given permission to post this detailed review by manager, he mentioned his name is Bean** Two South Florida area female attorneys traveling with two children, needed a clean basic hotel to spend two nights at as they planned to visit peace river for fossils to show at school. We were misled by fake photos from Expedia and neglected to read reviews. The greeting was not present, just the front desk clerk yelling at some folks that were in the lobby that he was going to "have them trespassed" if they didn't shut up and stop disturbing him. We were checked in and found rooms in serious disrepair, building is old and run down, one towel to share that was thin like something in a prison. Few dead bugs on corners of room, walls and doors with lead paint peeling, bugs, and missing fire safety equipment! (being addressed by local fire marshall) Did not bother to try the food areas, or pool areas so can't review those. Floors dingy, difficult to sleep with noise from people up and down halls and outside the building. Horrible experience that we would not wish on an enemy or even for housing homeless. This is not supposed to be a $29 a night motel. The propietor "Mike" his American name, Mr Chauhan decided to ignore calls, messages, and email communications to address this matter, therefore we have decided to share our experience publicly in an attempt to protect individuals that may be considering staying at this property. If you can't sleep in your car, maybe this dump will work for you, but please avoid if you can, specially if you are traveling with young children that shouldn't be exposed to hazards. You are welcome to check out other reviews of properties and businesses worldwide. We tend to tell it like it is and currently stand as a Level 7 TRUSTED GOOGLE GUIDE. It will be interesting to see what this hotel operator has to say about the shortcomings during our visit.
We HAVE YET TO BE REFUNDED, for night number 2. We ran out of there after a few hours of sleep on night 1, kids were tired. By the time it was time to check in for night 2, we got out of there. No way we were going to sleep there so decided to drive home to Palm Beach.
We were not expecting a Four Seasons or a Marriott/ Hilton but we paid enough to have safety, security, cleanliness, quiet and some decent hotel not motel accommodations at a 1 star dump
