The staff was really friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had plenty of room. Close to Inner Harbor and the Baltimore Convention center and there were plenty of options to eat in the neighborhood.

Great space and tech, but some serious comfort and cleanliness drawbacks

I would rate my stay at the Renaissance Baltimore as good, but definitely not great. There were some definite high points, but also a couple of issues that kept it from being a truly comfortable experience.
The Positives:
The room itself was impressively large and didn't feel cramped at all. I was also really pleased with the updated technology options. The television was modern and easy to use, and the WiFi was fast and reliable throughout my stay, which made working and streaming hassle-free.
The Negatives:
Unfortunately, the actual stay wasn't very comfortable. The bed was quite stiff and uncomfortable, making it hard to get a good night's sleep. More concerning, though, was finding a mouse trap tucked behind the dresser. While I didn't actually see any pests, finding a trap in the room definitely put a damper on the cleanliness vibe.
The Location (Neutral):
The location is a bit of a mixed bag. On one hand, it's convenient because there are plenty of places to eat within walking distance. On the other hand, I wouldn't recommend walking around outside at night. There is a very high concentration of homelessness and visible drug use immediately surrounding the hotel, which made it feel unsafe after dark.
Overall, it's a decent place if you just need a large space and good internet for the day, but the comfort and room maintenance need some work.

The room was very clean and the maintenance staff were very friendly. The check-in experience wasn’t the best. The two authorizations, totaling more than half of the actual stay cost, weren’t explained at all or even stated before being charged. Also be prepared to pay a hefty fee for parking that is not reimbursed.

Hotel was clean. Our only issue was the power went out for a couple hours at night, making the room hot and family uneasy. Made it difficult to sleep. Could not reach anyone by phone.

I had a great night and the bellhop equivalent (they called it something else) gave me a great recommendation for dinner (Angie’s Seafood) a mile away.
