Best accommodation available in Ampara

Best affordable luxury rooms buit with nature. Much spacious rooms and large garden area.Really a good place for relaxing and family outing. Calm and quite place surrounded by paddy fields with easy access to colombo batticaloe Road.

Very good place to stay couple of nights

Very close to oluvil campus . If you are traveling in eastern for business work in the Kalmunai , Akkaraipattu , Sammanthurai area , this is the best place to stay as the Guest house is in middle of above 3 cities . You can reach any of the location mentioned above within 1/2 hour from Green Villa.
Room rates are very reasonable . LKR 2500/- with A/c and LKR 3500/- with A/c + Hot water. Bath room , Pillows, Bed sheets , towels,etc very clean. There are few mosquitoes but they provide liquid vaporizers.
Green villa is manned by 4 people . Manager , Care taker , Cook and a helper(cleaner) . They speak English, Tamil & Sinhala . Communicating with Green Villa team is not an issue though this is at Eastern Province. Manager Ashrof is very helpful person with a good heart. Always ready to help the guests. Care taker Hameed is a joyful character . Very friendly and attentive. Always prepare to provide the best comfort / food etc. Helped us immensely when planning our trip. Green Villa has a fantastic cook . unfortunately can't remember his name . He can prepare anything ranging from Fried rice, Devil dishes to Pittu, Milk Rice . His bites are superb ! .
We were offered Fried Rice , Pol Rotti , Pittu , String Hoppers , Milk Rice . While on our two day stay the cook prepared delicious curries like , Chicken curry , Devil Prawns, Fish Kuruma , Dhal Curry , Potato curry , Devil Chicken etc.
We enjoyed a lot at our stay . Many thanks for the wonderful hospitality , yummy food and very interesting stories and songs of uncle Hameed.

I would give it a bit more than average but its certainly not up there

The bathrooms are not good at all but its definitely the best according to the area. A bit tough if you dont know a bit of singhala as they mainly speak Tamil and only a handful speaks English, Hameed the all arounder is the only who actually manages to communicate effectively and quite talkative and attentive. Not a lot of good hotels in this area but this hotel is up there compared to the rest (again in the area) the only other good hotel is about 30 KM (Ampara Junc - Monty). The green villa is a family place and safe but apart from the paddy nothing much to look at. beach is not good and I wont recommend it for swimming. If the bathrooms were maintained I definitely give this hotel a better rating. If your passing this area (on your way to Batticaloa) then this place could be recommended for a night/day stop. No wifi and no cable tv (the STB boxes were there but no subscription - only local channells)
