Altogether it was a Good experience...at dad's holiday home...owner of the property Mr. Rajan very helpful...food was delicious and the rooms also having enough space...and clean

Meet the expectations

Dad’s Holiday Home is a quite modern well maintained private hotel which is a minute away from main road of Matale..very safe peaceful environment and neighborhood. Friendly courteous attentive staff.prompt service.delicious food.clean room and bathroom.comfortable Family rooms are also available.we enjoyed and rested very well.Highly recommended for a good peaceful stay.

Beautiful family run hotel

Can't say enough about Ranjan and his lovely family. They looked after us like their own family. The food was great and they were so helpful helping us with transport and logistics. Also gave us a free upgrade. Rooms were very clean and nice powerful shower! This is the only place to stay in Matale especially if you have a young family.

Best place in Matale area.

It was our fist time in matale area. We scheduled our trip within a week & i searched many places for accommodation via internet. But it was tough to find a best place for best price. Finally we picked dad's holiday home. We enjoyed staying in Dad's holiday home.The room was nice and comfortable,friendly owner.This is a really fantastic budget accommodation.

meeting old friends

I was back in Sri Lanka after five years and as always I spend time in Matale a town in central province.Rajan has expanded his guest house to include a wedding hall on the top floor whilst the bedrooms are on the second floor. They are basic ,quite roomy with AC in some which you will need in the hot season. Rajan has a wealth of knowledge about the district and he and his family are always ready to help.
On this trip I took the local bus out to Riverstone tower about 10 miles away then walked back to Matale through the tea estates. Stunning views.
A hike up to the old wiltshire tea estate overlooking the town,about two hours, gives an indication of the very basic conditions for both planters and workers.
A visit to the Anglican church just above the park ,only open for Sunday worship, perhaps a reminder of times past
