Then, after repeatedly providing proof that I had paid, he complained about how he didn't know where the payment went. When I told him that the location of the money was between him and the booking site because I did everything I was supposed to do, he continued to act as if all of this was my fault.
For the sake of honesty, the point of contact, after initially hanging up on me and then refusing to answer the phone, did, eventually, demonstrate genuine regret and concern over the situation as he knew that I was wasting most of my afternoon trying to rearrange lodging instead of doing the one thing I wanted to do in the town.
