Beautiful and interesting place in the jungle

Beautiful and interesting place in the jungle. Host Lucian is very kind and helpful. He took me around and showed me a lot of very interesting places. The room and the whole house is well equipped and clean. The house has a nice garden.

Enjoyable Stay at Pepper Cottage

Me and my Partner stayed at Pepper Cottage for 3 nights. We really enjoyed our stay and the host Lucian is great, super friendly and accommodating. We chose this guesthouse because its close to Kandy (Lucian can drive you in for the day). Kandy is quite a hectic city and we wanted more of a zen accommodation so this was perfect. Lucian also arranged a Tuk Tuk tour of the surrounding Tea Plantations, through the mountains and great views of waterfalls, this was one of our highlights over our 4week visit to Sri Lanka, if you are renting your own tuktuk this would be even better! We had planned to go hiking in the surrounding areas however the rain made this a little tricky. Lucian cooked dinner and breakfast for us which was lovely. The room was large as was the bathroom which is shared however we were the only guests there at the time so had the place to ourselves. The bedding was a bit damp which im not sure if this was due to the wet weather/ventilation or was not properly dry before it was put on the bed. Other than that we had a great stay

Hidden Gem

We stayed here for 4 nights, at first we were a little disappointed as its further from Kandy than we expected (around 30-40mins drive), but we soon realised its much nicer being out of Kandy. We went on a few hikes and visited a waterfall that Lucian recommended, these were off the tourist radar so you pretty much had the place to yourself other than a few locals. The accommodation itself is lovely, nice clean rooms, hot water and amazing views. The hosts are superb, Lucian is great for help and advice about the local area. You can get the bus into Kandy or Lucian will take you in if you want to visit for the day or for the evening.

Great place, highly recommended!

We stayed two nights at the Pepper cottage and the host Lucien is really friendly. The house is really cleand and the breakfast is really good. For a small price he (or one of the neighbours) will cook dinner. Really tasteful and would definitively recommend to have dinner at the Pepper cottage! Lucien also took us on a trip in the area to a viewpoint, a waterfall and some of the beaten track roads. We had a wonderful time!

~ So Worth It ~

We were staying here for sadly one night, due we were in a hurry. The warm Welcome of Lucien was so kind. The view under the avocado tree is beautiful and Lucien is Just a hospitality man! He Made Breakfast and dinner for us, laundry service, explained a lot about the area, helped us fixing our Own Tuk tuk (Tuk tuk Rental), taxi service to Pettigala viewpoint... Just so Helpfull! The cottage, room and bathroom were Very Clean, Cosy and Neat. On top of that If you want to relax and amuse yourself there are Many (board) games which you can play. Lets the game begin!
