One of The Best Rooftop Views in Kandy!

If you're heading to Kandy, Orbit88 is absolutely worth booking—honestly, the rooftop alone makes it a winner. We spent so much of our time up there because it easily has one of the best panoramic views in the entire town. It is the perfect spot to just kick back, relax, and watch the city light up over the hills after a long day of exploring.
The hospitality here was genuinely next-level. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and were super helpful with everything we needed during our stay. On top of that, the breakfast was fantastic!
Overall, it’s just a great, modern base for a trip to Kandy. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the combination of that unbelievable view and the amazing team running the place is what really makes it stand out. I highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area! ✨

Wonderful hotel !! Fantastic manager, his staff and the 24 hours security. So helpful, kind and generous. Even a free, lovely room upgrade for me !! I for sure will come back to HOTEL ORBIT88 next year.

Great!

New hotel. Looks very neat. Nice spacious room with nice bathroom and a TV with Netflix. During breakfast we had a nice view and breakfast tasted good. The staff is very helpful and friendly. We stayed here for 1 night.

Clean and crisp is no small feat in a hotel room in Sri Lanka. This hotel was near spotless. My only problem was the room window opened to a concrete wall, a sad thing when Kandy has so many wonderful views. The staff was wonderful and the Tables restaurant upstairs did have great atmosphere with wonderful views.

Very friendly staff and great breakfast but unfortunately noisy

Summary:
Pleasant hotel with very warm service, nice roof terrace and good breakfast - weaknesses exist especially in the soundscape and small organizational details.
Rating:
The staff is very dedicated throughout to providing guests with a pleasant stay. We noticed particularly positively that the chef personally comes over at breakfast and dinner and asks if everything is okay. The service in the restaurant was very friendly and warm.
A real highlight is the roof terrace, where both breakfast and dinner are served. The breakfast offer is very good: You can choose from classic egg dishes, there is table service instead of buffet, which we found very pleasant. In addition, the room offers plenty of storage space, which makes the stay comfortable.
Unfortunately, there are also some points that have clouded the overall impression. As described in other reviews, the hotel is very noisy. Especially in the morning and evening we had the impression that chairs and tables were being moved on the roof terrace – presumably during cleaning. However, the noises sounded like someone moving furniture right in the room, and sometimes lasted several minutes.
In the room itself there is no hairdryer, which is also so in the hotel description and was overlooked by us. However, you can borrow a hairdryer at the reception.
Once the room was not cleaned despite sign. We are not sure if you have to register this at the reception – on the second day we were approached. It is advisable to ask for a quick answer if in doubt.
Conclusion:
Overall a good hotel with very friendly staff, nice roof terrace and delicious breakfast. However, those who are very sensitive to noise should consider clairvoyance. With small improvements, the stay could be even more enjoyable.
