Great hospitality uphill

We enjoyed our 3 nights in this place. It is peacefully located in the hills over Kandy. We had our breakfast and dinner outside watching nature and birds around the house and stars at night. Even though it is not the best accessible place the city is just a 10-15min tuktuk ride away. But what made the place most special was the true hospitality of our host. He was so friendly, was always offering drinks and even food, he let us wash our laundry for free and was really like a father for us during these days. Thank you!

Great scenic wilderness, neat place but a lot of homework on being a fab host required !

one helluva place to get away from the hustle bustle of life and especially if one needs to unwind and feel peace and calm !! Amazing location on the hill top, we have a couple as care takers and who are really helpful and try to make guests feel comfortable, however when the owner calls it a hotel a lot of things go missing like basic toiletries, required basic breakfast if offering bed and breakfast and etc ..... so yes lot of work is required to feel the pulse of the guest and cater to the needs but overall hats off to the caretakers and the location - simply flawless !!
Water was not heating well......... :(

View from the Lavender Hills

The Hotel hidden away in the mountain offers an amazing view from the mountain side of the city of Kandy. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are nice with everything you need. Authentic Sri Lankan breakfast and tea was served to us in the morning. Would recommend to families and friends travelling together, good value for money.

Excellent Hospitality, Nice Rooms - Distance only issue

Lavender Hills is tucked away in Richmond Hills. The Rooms were nice and clean, we were the only people at the hotel when we stayed. The manager (mr kamal) goes out of his way to look after you, he made us tea and breakfast every morning.
Thing to remember though is the location is very far and most tuk tuk drivers may not know it. We got lost trying to find it. You are best off calling ahead and seeing if a driver can be sent. Each time you go into town or back will cost about 500 Rs (but the manager is happy to arrange this for you). There aren't too many restaraunts or shops nearby, so you will need to go into Kandy, or at least further down the hill.
The plus side about being so far away is you are in a very peaceful place - waking up everymorning to sound of birds and enjoying a cup of tea in the terrace was lovely.

Super tolle Zimmer mit TV - Kühlschrank und Klimaanlage ! Alles Neu ! Garten sehr liebevoll angelegt ! Kamal der Manager macht das unmögliche möglich ! Dafür noch mal ein großes Dankeschön ! Wir kommen wieder !
