Best place in kandy

Nice place nice environment and a quite place for a couple to enjoy at its best wanna visit again and the food was great

Beautiful family run hotel with gorgeous gardens around a pool. Ideal for family

French garden is a lovely family run hotel. Beautiful gardens around a pool that even though it rained a lot while we were there, the kids spent a lot of time in the pool!
The family room was lovely, beds comfy with mosquito nets though we weren't very aware of any mosquitoes.
Everything was really clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Breakfasts were tasty, fresh fruit, omelettes, pancakes, coffee. We didn't have time to eat dinner there as had plans in Kandy.
It's easy to arrange tuk tuk or car into Kandy town centre, takes about 25 mins with traffic.
Highly recommend for a family.

Lovely staff! Frendly people! Clean hotel, very comfortable

Lovely hotel just 10 minutes from Kandy, set in a peaceful location. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the food was great, everything was clean, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. The pool was fantastic – highly recommended!

Bad experience in settlement and handling owner

We have had a bad experience with this accommodation
For our stay we had booked the family room this smoke very musty, both the room and the bedding, this is mainly because of the air conditioning, this emits musty air because it has not been cleaned and has mold in the unit.
Furthermore, the owner could take us to the center with his car (the accommodation is located far outside of Kandy center ) for a price of 7,000 Rupee while Pick Me return center accommodation counts 3,000.
At the final bill we had a nasty surprise, as mentioned earlier in reviews 10% service charge is calculated on everything on the final bill and the amount is a lot higher than shown on Booking (contacted Booking about this and now compensated for overpayment ) after a settlement of the bill with the owner on the spot they passed on to Booking a No Show of our visit which means that they do not owe Booking a fee but also want us to pay the costs for No Show, now solved by Booking because we could provide a bank statement of our visit. We have a bad experience because the owner wants to earn extra from the stay in a devious way, so a tip to others check the final bill and report wrongful deviation to Booking.com from this property.
