Good reviews for lifeguard marc
Today, my family and I visited Seagate Hotel for a day outing. While we were at the beach, a small child went into the sea and got into danger. At that moment, the lifeguard Marc quickly ran and rescued the child.
We truly appreciate the management of Seagate Hotel for hiring such experienced and responsible lifeguards like Marc for the beach.
Thank you so much, Marc, for what you did today. Your action was truly brave and admirable.

When we were looking for a place to relax in Sri Lanka, we wanted a small hotel to keep as few people as possible away from the hustle and bustle.
This hotel is located in the Kalutara suburbs, from a distance, but can be reached by tuk-tuk.
There are very few reviews about the hotel in the Russian segment. So we decided to take a chance.
So, the hotel.
It's small. Standing on the very shore of the ocean. The hotel has three floors, rooms on the second floor only. Standard size rooms. The two of us weren't tight. The three rooms we visited had huge double beds and a third additional single bed. The repair is "tired," as it is commonly said. All rooms with ocean views. Conday, teapot, water. Sockets fit ours in the room, no bathroom. Bring mosquito spray, we also brought a fumigator.
The hotel is generally designed for domestic tourism. While we were there for 10 days, there was only one couple for a few days. The rest of the day we were alone, all alone. I liked it that way. The pool is all ours, all the hotel staff are busy with us. However, parties are local and weddings take place there. Their parties are rotten, by the way. The weddings were beautiful, national in colour. The hotel has three large rooms for such events.
Soundproofing is something that made me very happy! This is only the second hotel in my experience to have good soundproofing!
Food.
Their food is spicy. We always asked when ordering not to be spicy. It didn't always work. Lots of kari in different manifestations. Everybody's on the menu, cooking what you order the day before. There's a European menu. The portions are very large, the two of us ate the same meal and often stayed. Feeding for slaughter. Very hearty breakfasts, several kinds. Prices are moderate. The seafood is all fresh. On the beach, there are still local fishermen abandoning their boats. And from there, they cast nets for fishing. Very interesting process, watched for days. They were still shouting their local cheers.
The staff at the hotel are very kind, friendly. Any question will be answered, everyone will tell, show, help organize transfers where required.

Wonderful Family Stay by the Beach
I stayed at Seagate Hotel during the weekend, and it was a wonderful experience. The location was peaceful and perfect for relaxing with my family. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and always ready to support us. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the food was delicious. We really enjoyed the beach view and the overall atmosphere.
I highly recommend Seagate Hotel for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Thank you for making our weekend memorable

Not Recommended for a Relaxing Day Out
I visited this hotel recently for a budget-friendly day out. While the lunch buffet had a good variety, the food itself was just average—most dishes had no real taste, and many items were too sweet.
The customer service and the welcome were very poor—we had to repeatedly approach the staff to request basic things, as they were often standing around chatting with each other instead of attending to guests.
Changing rooms were not clean, and the facilities in general felt neglected. The buffet was poorly presented with no name tags on the dishes. When we asked the staff, they told us the names of the items but said the name tags were “somewhere on the buffet—just find and eat.” The chefs in white uniforms were also not very presentable or polite when answering questions.
Our dining table was dirty, with insects and ants running around. Even after we informed the staff, they just wiped the table quickly with tissues and left without offering a proper solution. We ended up having our meal surrounded by ants.
Another serious concern was the pool area—there was no pool guard on duty, and no clear pool rules displayed anywhere, which felt very unsafe, especially with so many people around.
On weekends, the hotel gets extremely crowded, making it hard to enjoy any of the facilities comfortably.
Overall, I do not recommend this place if you expect good service, cleanliness, or a pleasant atmosphere. It may be okay if you just want a low-cost option and don’t mind all the issues.

Day out
We had our staff day outing at Seagates.The staff was very friendly.The girl who conducted games did a great job.Place is good and clean and the rooms were also good.The only issue was with the food which was a bit spicy.Overall I would recommend this place
