In Paradise

An excellent hotel with few huge rooms (with fridge and air conditioning) pool and super service. And right on Paradise Beach. Approximately 500 meters wide and at the beginning of January maybe 50 guests. Incredibly beautiful

Overpriced room.

Very disappointing, overpriced room. The bed is located so close to the wall it’s difficult to get out of bed. There is a ledge around the bed and was advised to careful. Middle of the night I hit my shin and bled. I discovered other guests had same problem. TV didn’t work, only 3 tea bags, no coffee, very slow internet. Only one roll of toilet paper. For $100 a night this is simply not good enough. Fortunately we are only here 2 nights. Looking forward to leaving in the morning.

Peaceful, relaxing, great location and fabulous room

Fabulous 3 night stay here. A small, quiet hotel right in the beachfront - very peaceful, away from the touristy areas.
The room ( more a suite!) was superb; huge, beautifully furnished, sofa and seating area, dressing area, very large bathroom and shower …
Excellent service and attentive, thoughtful staff.
Delicious food ( both breakfast and dinner ) which was always cooked fresh on ordering. Wonderful Sri Lankan breakfast.
The location is on a beautiful, very natural beach - not at all touristy. We enjoyed watching the local fishing boats going out and returning - real life!
Highly recommended!

Good location but overpriced

An excellent location on Mawella beach.
Room was good but the placement and design of the furniture meant a banged shin a few times.
The grounds are a bit shabby.
Good swimming pool
Breakfast was poor
We had lunch once - nice
We had dinner once - awful. Both dishes over salted to the point of inedibility and one was absolutely cold. We sent the cold one back and asked for a hot, non salty one.
The hotel was very quiet so the over-attentiveness of the staff became intrusive and rather disturbing.
Overall I think this hotel is overpriced.

It's a beautiful place. The hotel only has 6 bungalows. Very friendly and friendly staff. They speak English perfectly. The beach has restaurants with very delicious seafood.
There are very few hotels on the beach, mostly private grounds. Often there were practically alone on the beach) either side of the hotel very picturesque views. The waves in the ocean are big, but the beach is comfortable, no rocks. The child was happily bouncing on the waves near the shore.
Rooms are very spacious, cleaning ready even every day, always ask what today is required. Water is given daily, tea, sugar, kettle in the room. For breakfast, fruit, freshly squeezed juice and an omelet. Other options are available on request for an additional fee.
Picked the southern part of the island, which is where most of the interesting places are. Tours were taken from both the tour operator and the hotel manager. It was cheaper through the hotel, the only thing you need is English. Elephants were fed and blue whales were seen. It's an unforgettable experience! My best rest!
