Bathing in opulence

What a lovely place to stay for a few days. Very nice villa, little bit in English / colonial atmosphere, nice pool, fantastic room with all the trimmings. Nice music in the background, super wifi, great sweet staff from gardener to butler. Head butler Nishantha does everything in the background to please his guests. Nice place to start or end your vacation

Very relaxing stay at the end of a busy time in Sri Lanka .Perfect

A true tasteof Sri Lankan hospitality

We wanted a place nesr the airport to rest before touring the rest of the island. We feel blessed to have found this villa. From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. Mr Nishantha the cheif butler of this small but beautiful villa made sure our every need sndxwish was granted.
There he was picking us up from the airport giving us fruits on arrival shoeing us the lovely garden which was bizarly inhabited by 6 rabbits.
The villa itself is modern but with traditional decor beautifully decorated. One could eat outsidenon the balcony or in the ding room in splendid style. The chefs will come and check to see your prefrences and as the villa has only 5 rooms it feels like you are the only people there.
My husbsnd became very ill from eating on the plane and a docto vwas summouned prescriptions were filled at very little expense, all this engineered by Mr Nisantha Fernando. Thank you.
Obviously we could not avail ourselves of the various boat trips fish market etc so we intend to go back on our return leg to be spoilt some more.

Palace in Negombo

We were originally booked by our travel agency in one of the ocean side hotels. We didn't like the location and quality of this "5-star" facility. Luckily we found Regal Rivera Villa! An oasis just outside of the hectic town. It was a privilege to stay here. We felt like the governor of town. Beautiful grounds and facilities. Comfortable room and full access to the remainder of the villa. Staff was bending backwards to please. Breakfast and dinner were sumptuous and my wife, who doesn't like pepper and spicy at all could choose from western type of meals. We met the owner, a known business man one evening and had a night cap with him and his friend. Just like in most places we stayed at in Sri Lanka, the people make the difference. We will certainly stay here again if we ever come back to this beautiful country. Special thank you to Nishante, Yoshen and Jude. They made our stay at Regal Rivera the icing on the cake.
