Comfortable and tasty

It is quite close to the center, but still I would not recommend walking in the dark. The accommodation itself is modern, clean and not insignificant with mosquito nets without holes. As everyone says, the breakfast is exquisite. The juices were also delicious and here we got the best welcome drink of all our accommodations of our 16 day tour.

Hidden gem!

The phrase hidden gem is well worn, but in this case is absolutely true. Lavendra Paradise is off the beaten track and just outside the centre of Ella.
It means you get the best of both worlds - the peace and quiet overnight but close enough (10 minutes uphill) to go to any restaurant or bar which takes your fancy.
The breakfast is huge, with everything you could want including Sri Lanka dishes to try - which are delicious. The hot tea, in a teapot of course, was perfect and set us up for the day.
There were some cold beers in the fridge which we chose to have in the evenings whilst chatting with Shan and getting his advice and recommendations on our plans the following day.
This homestay is immaculately clean and tidy, with a double bed, comfortable chairs and en suite facilities too. Outside are a couple of chairs to take in the views, with those cold beers if you chose, which are spectacular.
I'd go back in an instant and would highly recommend you take a look for yourself!

A superb stay

What a superb stay we had here. A lovely room and plenty of good quality towels. The bed was comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was superb, one of the best we had in Sri Lanka and was served on our terrace. It was my birthday while we were there and the staff made it a very special breakfast indeed. The location was fantastic as we were able to walk into Ella (although it is a bit of a hill although tuk tuks are available at the bottom of the lane from the property) There were comfy seats on the terrace to sit with a drink enjoying the absolutely spectacular views.

Superb Location

What a find. Great location with fantastic views and only a short Tuk Tuk journey to the centre ( the owner is on hand to take you.) The breakfasts were superb and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Best breakfast in Sri Lanka. Lovely homestay with super friendly staff.

Amazing homestay with super friendly and helpful hosts, clean and comfortable rooms, great location and great view. The area is nicely decorated with various art. Breakfast was the largest breakfast we had in Sri Lanka and it was excellent. The aircon in the room was great, big bathroom. Easy to walk (along the road) into the main area of Ella or catch a tuk tuk for 400-500 rp. You can see the train travelling along the mountain. Great laundry service. And the best part is relaxing on the chairs in the late afternoon with cold beer in cold glasses.
